USB is a serial bus and parralel ports sends many bits at a time then why USB prints faster

Because bein a NEWER technology it's more modern.

Also modern SERIAL busses transfer much shorter BITS, so can squeeze many more into a second.

Parallel can run to about 1 or 2 mb/s while USB 1.1 is 11mb/s and USB 2 is 480mb/s

Also a parallel cable has to ensure ALL DATA reaches other end at same time, this actually LIMITS the speed of a parallel connection, hence newer hard drives are moving to Serial ATA to increase speed.

Why is a 6-way highway faster as a dirt road? Same question. The technology is simply different, thus providing more bandwidth and allowing more traffic over the available bandwidth.
