since your motherboard wasn't ever meant for gaming purpose,(latest graphix cards require agp slots{8x minimum})
i sugest you buy a new one.
An Asus P5gc MX would be well under your budget.
(that is if your budget is < than Rs 5000 and > than RS 6000)

ur motherboard is too old & not meant for gaming.
go ahead and chage ur C.P.U if u want a full gaming experience.
and of ur present computer i do not know any card suiting it.
ur talking aout AGP slot u dont need to have AGP slot now bcoz today latest grphics card are on PCI-EXPRESS SLOT.

one thing.......forget of gaming on ur 845 motherboard.& get NVIDIA 8800 GT,GTS.GTX or ULTRA G.P.U . as on ur budget.

Your motherboard was never intended for gaming. PCI bus is SLOW for 3D graphics . You will not get your money's worth on PCI graphics card. They are expensive and yet gives miserable performance on most current games.
