My new Laptop has Windows Vista as Operating system. I would like to install Linux also. What shall I do?

Go right ahead, it'll be a huge improvement!!!

I heartily recommend Ubuntu Linux, from:

Run it as a Live CD only, until your sure it suits your needs, then install it on your hard drive as Dual Boot. The instructions are on their site.

Hi;
You can easly install linux beside your windows. just choose your the distro you want to install.if you new to linux world i recommend openSUSE it's like withdows so easy. also ubunto is very good. just delete one partition you don't need. 10 GB is good and flow the installation instruction.
