if i have a dvd burner that says 8x for dvd can i burn on a dvd that says 1x- 16x? because my burner doesnt want to burn on this dvd. i wonder why..........

Hi, i have intel D945 GNCL motherboard which has only one serial PATA port on board and i need to connect two optical drives on my system . i have a data cable (serial cable) with three connector, So one goes on the board and the two other connector on the same cable goes for DVD and CD- W but the computer detect only one driver either CD-W or DVD i tried to change the jumper to Master for first driver and slave for second driver still it dosesn't work so please tell me what should i do

Hey folks, here's my issue:

I have two young kids (5yrs old and 2yrs old) and the problem I'm having is that because my kids keep taking their favorite DVDs from the house to the car, from the car to the babysitter then back from the babysitter to the car and to the house again, after just a couple of weeks, the DVDs get scratched, warped, cracked, you name it..... is there any software out there that will let me copy a "commercial" DVD??

Having to replaced the damaged DVDs has become a pretty big expense and I was hoping to find some program/software so that I could back up their DVDs so that I don't have to keep buying them again everytime they're damaged.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advanced!

I keep getting a warning that says I need to set my monitor to 1680x1050, however this is not an option the closest I can get is 1600x1200 and it makes everything distorted and wide. Do any of you know how to fix this?
If it helps I have a Nvidia G force 7350 le graphics card

I am enthusiastic and motivated to get into the Information Technology field. I currently do not work in the IT industry, but I am training myself to get my A+ Certification and Network + Certifications. Would I be able to find a job with just these certifications alone? I do a ridiculous amount of running queries in Access, copying and pasting data into specific cell ranges in new date-named worksheets in the same workbooks every week. To add to the issues, I pull data into my Access database using ODBC-connected tables that require me to login to the server with the same login info using the Linked Table Manager everytime I load my Access. The copying and pasting to specific cell ranges in specific worksheets in one workbook. I need to automate as much of this as possible. I already know Java and know that Java could simplify a lot of the repetitive tasks, using a good API. However, I want to avoid having to go through downloading the files, programs, etc. necessary to run Java apps on my work computer, as I want other co-workers to be able to utilize the same program that I come up with on their computers without a lot of hassle. I don't know VB and am still unclear if this is something I should learn that will work similar to Java.

I was on an interactive site requiering java download but the download is for newer windows version than mine. I tried to download it and it works to an extent but seems to lock up once in awhile and has no audio capability. I just bought a sony cyber-shot camera that uses the memory stick duo card. is that the same thing as an sd card? i tried to put the memory stick card (with the adapter) in my nintendo wii but it said it only read sd cards. any info would be great b/c im new to all of this stuff - im way behind on the times ;)

I keep trying to find out a way to remove spyware from my computer. Are there any websites that will help you do this for FREE. Not just a download trial for so many days either. I don't have the money to pay 20 to 50 dollars for a removal program. Or can you explain to me how to remove it from my computer if I don't have to have one of those programs plz. Thanks a Bunch!!!
