Hi, i have intel D945 GNCL motherboard which has only one serial PATA port on board and i need to connect two optical drives on my system . i have a data cable (serial cable) with three connector, So one goes on the board and the two other connector on the same cable goes for DVD and CD- W but the computer detect only one driver either CD-W or DVD i tried to change the jumper to Master for first driver and slave for second driver still it dosesn't work so please tell me what should i do

Get a single DVDR it will write and play both CDs and DVDS

Hi. Answer 1 is practical but if you want to do it your way make sure the DVD is set as the Master. It sometimes makes a difference.
