I think some bed sectors are on my hard disk. Because my is very slow and some time it was hang. Therefore I think that some bed sectors are on my hard disk. kindly advise me how can I fix the bed sectors.

My laptop has had a motherboard failure and now its internal speakers and the 3.5mm headphone socket also doesn't work.
I'm sure its not a driver problem as I have all of them installed, and anyway in BIOS tests there was no sound either.

How else can I get sound from my computer? Other ports I have that work are USB, 1394 (whatever that is).
HELP!

I have a friend who is in Iraq and her mom uses the computer as a soul means of communicating. The only problem is the mom has no clue. I have written down step by step instructions and she still gets lost and ends up deleting things that shouldn't be deleted. I don't mind going out there and helping, but the mom tells my friend that I have deleted stuff that was not deleted and when she can't do something it is all my fault. How do I teach this woman enough to get the job done? Just a little more info, she has dial up instead of an always connected. I think this is a large part of the problem.

I have 2 Skype accounts that I need to stay logged into but Skype can only log onto one account at a time so is there another messenger program that allows me to log in using my Skype ID? I know that there are many programs that can do this for MSN and Yahoo but I haven't found any for Skype. I'd really like any help I can get thanks!

i have a MacBook, and audacity, can someone tell me how to go about recording with this mic on my MacBook and how well it will record a band of friends one who plays an upright bass, an accordion acoustic guitar if i just set this mic in front of them ? ? ?

**i used to record them with a built in mic in another labtop, and it came out sounding good so i figured if i used a better mic it would come out even better ..

ok, i am not very domestic...i attempted to clean my laptop this morning, used nail polish remover (ingredients water, acetone, propylene gycerol...and many other chemicals) and i wiped the touch pad u use to control the pointer...now, it doesn't work, like it has lost its sensitivity-is it because of the nail polish remover?? any way to fix it or will i have to buy a mouse?

ok,i fiddled around on my pc (windows xp).and somehow i changed something and i dont know how to change it back...u know when you start up your computer and it comes up with the profiles on the computer with their display pics next 2 them...well after i fiddled round i now have a little box saying...log on to windows, user name, password. i can log on fine but i want to change it back to normal...how do i do this?
