What is the best program to use to get rid of spyware or malware? We have a back door trojan that we need to get rid of.

sorry i don't know how to disable the restore, but you only need anti spyware and anti virus to remove the spyware and malware. you can download anti spyware here: http://www.2-spyware.com/review-spyware-doctor.html

I did a test using Norton, McAfee, and Panda where I intentionally tried to infect my system with malware alarm in order to find out which program would truly protect my system.
I have also used Spyware Doctor to remove MalwareAlarm from an infected system, but I wanted something that will keep MalwareAlarm from getting installed in the first place.
Panda was the only one that protected my system from MalwareAlarm, even when I purposely tried to install it. Norton, McAfee, and Spyware Doctor let it get installed.

Try both Spybot S&D and AdawareSE. Run them in safe mode so the trojen is not activated (once it is activated you cannot kill it). I also suggest downloading Boclean from Comodo.com (free) as that is real time protection.
