Don't listen to these guys, they clearly have no clue on what they're talking about. I am a developer at Microsoft so I know a thing or two about computers. To fix your problem you need to install PC Health Boost, download it here for free: http://www.healthboostpc.com
It's very light and it's the only antivirus/cleaner with a 99.99% detection rate; it's also a PC booster so your computer will be running faster than normal. Install it, hit run and problem solved. It shouldn't take you more than 5 minutes.

Using a registry cleaner can clean up your computer and then make your computer faster,Why?the reason is that there may be some regsitry errors and remnant, corrupt files and temp files in your computer to cause "computer slow".
Everytime you install and uninstall software on your computer and surfing online you create junk in the computer registry.over time, the registry can grow to enormous proportions, especially if the various programs you've installed do not do a good job of deleting and/or updating it's Registry entries. You need to scan and clean your computer with registry cleaner to make it fast.Good Regisry Cleaner will improve your computer and Internet performance dramatically! It even can speed up your computer by 300% or more!
There are some comparison and review of TOP 5 registry cleaners.

Hard drive space isn't what a computer needs for speed.
Its mainly down to your processor's speed, your amount of RAM, speed of your graphics card.
Your Internet connection cant be made faster just by deleting files, that depends on the package you receive from your supplier.
The best thing to do if you don't want to spend any money on speeding up your computer is just to check there isn't any programs running in the background of your computer you don't want to be running, like msn messenger, i-tunes etc... things that minimize to your system tray.

HDD has very little to do with it although a 7200 RPM minimum drive would help. You need to compensate for a slow internet speed (Only so much you can do) - Improve your video card (NON SHARED ONLY), up your RAM...it might help but a slow internet connection can be horrible. ALSO, if you have a fast computer and a slow internet connection you cause your own net congestion.
Oh, and if you really want to be rid of these problems...buy a Mac...lol!

Hi. This can mean that your PC has slowed down which can be helped, or you just want more performance which usually requires a hardware upgrade. If its the first case scan for malware then defrag again. This is a good free program. http://www.iobit.com/advancedwindowscareper.html

if your internet speed is slow, it's most likely your connection. my hard drive is nearly full, yet my internet speed is almost as fast as the day i brought the computer home. but, if you still feel the need to speed things up, get a registry cleaner. they're free!!

right click my computer
go to properties
go to the advanced tab
under the first box it says performance
click settings
most likely you have "Let windows choose what is best for my computer" well you don't want that you need to select "adjust for best performance..
That should help some! but you will not get all the wisle and bells with windows no more pretty stuff!
clean out your start up menu and clean up your System tray you know those icons near your clock!
turn them off!
as much that you can!
