i want to connect my ps3 to the internet without a wirless modem. i have got a lead and conected it up from my computer to the ps3. but i still can't get it to work. can sombody help?

I have a plasma TV and it has got a RGB input. There is a few things i needed to know.

Firstly, Will I be able to connect my PC to my TV via the RGB slot in the back of my TV?

Secondly, Will the picture quality be good if I use my TV to watch films from my pc? (I have a 42" HD Ready LG plasma)

Thirdly, Is it possible to connect both my PC monitor and TV at the same but (I only want to watch films on the TV, the monitor will be used for everything else)


I have an acer T180 computer. It's a pretty good computer but it's all pretty standard stuff. no fancy graphics cards.

If someone emails me and I email them back, could they get stuff like my address, phone number, city/state where I live possibly even my bank account info and SS#? Some idiot has been sending me emails and I have no idea who he is. I've emailed him and asked him to leave me alone several times but he won't! I hope I didn't make a mistake by emailing him back...What should I do! I'm more worried about him hacking into my computer or something...HELP!!

so my parents got me my own computer in my room last year for my birthday (in June). they told me not to go on any sites where i can talk to people (including myspace). well, disobeying that rule, this past march i created my first acount. less than two months later, my older brother found out that i had an account and he busted me. ever since then my parents moved my computer out to the den so they could see what i go on. what they don't know is that i created a new account, i go on it when they're not home. i've tried OVER and OVER agian telling them that i was being safe on it. my profile was private, i put up a code so that nobody can see where i live, how old i am, or what gender i am. i dont put my name up, and i only add people i KNOW. i just want them to understand that i am careful when it comes to myspace but all they're worried about are stalkers and predators. how do i convince them that myspace is ok? this is the only way i can rlly talk to my friends..plz help!

I just moved to Russia and signed up for DSL here. I setup my Netgear wireless router (WGR614v6) and set up the same wireless network that I had in the US. The only thing that has changed is my DSL modem (D-Link DSL-2300U) and Service provider (avangard.ru).
So now EITHER my laptop or desktop work, never both at once. The desktop is connected by cable to the router, the laptop by wireless. If I leave the laptop off, the desktop works fine. If I leave the desktop off and just the router on, I get wireless internet to the laptop. Is it possible that there is some sort of IP address conflict? I don't get any error messages. It works like this: desktop internet works fine,but, the instant the laptop connects to the netowrk, all internet stops working. After i disconnect either of the 2 devices from the network, internet resumes after a minute or a reboot of the router or modem.

Help! :)

I have an excell worksheet that I need to add a hyperlink to a powerpoint file using the viewer (not the full app). I linked it but I keep getting a (no program is registered to open this file error).

On my other computer, it launches the program using the full blown powerpoint.

I have an Intel Pentium D 3.0Ghz processor and lately, for no apparent reason it will spike to 80-100% usage for a split second(enough to skip music, video or the likes). It does it regardless of what programs I have open, firefox, IE, winamp, or anything. I'm running Windows XP. I was thinking maybe I had spyware, but I can't seem to locate any at all. Any ideas, or possible fixes? It's quite annoying and I'd like to fix it.

Have recently switched to BT Total Broadband. Have noticed no difference whatsoever in download speed since switching. BT claim download speeds of up to 8Mb, Speedtester says I average 6209kbps. Is that good, bad or average? Does 6000kbps = 6Mb? How I do work out conversion?

sorry i think i might have the same problem..please help me....i bought a brand newww laptop HP intel......after 30 min its turned on it gets hot...hot enough to irritate my skin....its get on the left side of my touch pad mouse, and also on top of my mouse....why is this so?? my fan not working? best buy says its normal...but best buy canada told me to exchange and i did and i have samee problem....so i put a home fan beside it and the heat diminishess and it becomes cool....when i turn off my fan it becomes hot why is this so?? does this mean that my fan is not working??? if this keeps bothering me..should i go with DELL...INTEL??? IS THIS A GOOD LAPTOP?? AND FAST???
