i want to connect my ps3 to the internet without a wirless modem. i have got a lead and conected it up from my computer to the ps3. but i still can't get it to work. can sombody help?

Normally you connect the modem to a wan port of a router and all downstream devices to LAN ports of the router or of another network switch. A router interfaces all LAN devices to the Internet connection.
If you do not have a router, you need one.

You need a router to connect both your computer AND the ps3 to your internet

take it out of the computer and plug it into the network socket of your dsl modem

you need to connect it directly to the modem. im using mine to answer this question its cool!!!
