there are several things to look at here....
1.... the size of the picture file... Picture files can be very large,, one picture could be 10 megabytes. so you need to know the size of each picture before you e-mail them...

next how many megabytes can you send through your mail server at a time. some mail servers only allow you 50 megs of storage, so the more storage you have the more you can send,

next sending a picture folder they would not be able to open it in e-mail,... pictures need to be sent individually as attachments

If you know what pictures you want to send, you can click on the first one, then hold down the 'ctrl' key and single click on the other files you want to send. Once they are all selected, right click on any one of the files and go to 'Send to' and left click on 'compressed (zipped) folder. It will compress all the files into a single folder. Note where it is saving the folder to and what the name of the folder is so you don't lose it. Then right click on the compressed folder and go to 'send to' and left click on 'Mail recipient'. If AOL is setup as your default mail program, it will load AOL Mail and you can send the compressed folder from there.

Try zipping the pictures all together or put all pictures in a folder and then zip the folder. Now simply attach that zipped folder to email. This is not only its convenient for you but also for the receiver.
I hope you have winzip,

You could zip them all together in a folder and send them. You don't need Winzip, just right click the folder, send to, zipped (compressed) folder.

You will have to attach the pic path one by one. If you don't have broad band or DSL connection it will be time consuming to the extent that you will drop the idea midway. It is better to up load it for free on photobucket.com or rapidshare.com or rapidshare.de for free & send the link to the person you want him to download the pics..
