Is the 8600GT genuinly a good card or is it only the price it is because it has the DX10 compatibility?

Im thinking of getting it, because i dont do too much gaming, and as its DX10 enabled it should last me a fairly long time.

And also does DX9 cards play DX10 games, just a quick question.

And one last point/question, does direct x 10 games only work on vista, and eventually windows 7... or do they still work on good ol' XP?

If you wanna reccomend me to a diff card, i have a PCI-E socket on my mobo

i have been looking on ebay for a while for a ibook clamshell battery and whenever i look on that search it shows a battery and a battery charger board what is the difference? is the board in the battery and is that how it holds a charge because the charger boards are so inexpensive

I found innapropriate sites on our computer and my son says that he never went to them, but sometimes they pop up and thats why they have been showing up on the history in our internet browser. Is he lying or is it really possible?

Ok I am in a worksheet and I want to track inventory. So say one page is the inventory and the other page is the purchase quantity. What I want is to make the inventory quantity cell change as I change the purchase quantity. So that as we send out items, our inventory is automatically adjusted. What would the formula be, and is it possible? Can I make a cell work on a different page within a single workbook? As you can see I am not well trained in excel, so please try to keep answers in laymen's terms - yet explain so that I know what I am doing, and will be able to develop similar formulas in the future...thanks.

i have a new laptop with vista and works 8.5. i need to create a lot of power point presentations and am not able to find power point software anywhere on works 8.5.
please can someone help me out. iam new to vista and microsoft works 8.5. i am used to windows xp and the older microsoft office suite. life was better. am finding lot of problems with this new stuff.

I have songs on my iPod that came from an external drive. They show up in my iTunes library but if I click on it, the song can't be found because I don't have the external drive anymore.

Is there a way to EXPORT the songs from my iPod into my iTunes library?

I saw a photo once that was photoshopped. This guy took four pictures of himself in the same room each time only in different positions. Then he combined every picture so that all four pictures of himself were on one picture so that it looked like there were four of him standing around. Does anybody know how to do that?

If I try to plug headphones into my computer, it automatically sets all sound to "Mute," and there seems to be no way to fix it until I've unplugged the headphones and restarted the computer. It's REALLY annoying... can anyone tell me how to fix this, or do I have to accept the fact that I can never use headphones?

How do I get my Itunes library to group Artists together when it lists music?

At the moment it puts all the songs in alphabetical order judging by their names, and it annoys me to high heaven, being that I have about 6,000 songs in it, XD

I'd rather have it list them in order of artists, is there any way I can get it to do this?

Currently I have a desktop computer. I plan to buy a laptop in the near future and I would like to connect them to a wireless network. The thing is, I know nothing about networks. I don't even know where to begin. I just want to be able to connect to the internet and share files between the two computers. Can somebody please help? I am completely lost.
