You need a blank dvd, not a cd.
If you have a multiformat dvd burner, you can use either kind, + or -.

Your not going to need a black cd your gonna need a blank dvd. There are two types of blank dvds + and - depending on the computer you bought it could burn both or it could just burn one of them.

I would think a dvd cd and a dvd drive on your computer, plus some type of video editing software.

that's because your using a cd not a dvd+r or dvd-r - read the info that comes with the program and it will tell you what type you need to use.

You need one that is specifically for DVDs, it should say DVD-R on it. Regular Cds are different.

If your softeare is DVD burner then there should have no problem but if it is CD Room burner then would cause problem. To get best result buy Sony DVD CD re-writable or Readable no problem.

for movies its DVD
...
DVD-r can be read by all the DVD reader at home
DVD+r can be read by some new model of DVD at home
so get DVD-r and price is the quality more you $$$ the more time it will last without a scratch...
