Vista is so bad and unusable, I had to buy XP and make the switch. Let me know if you did it too.

Some people prefer Dells desktops and Gateways laptops. I tried out a Apple desktop before and it didnt a lot of sense like working with Windows computers.

first things first ......... am not a techie . so please , all you good souls out there , help is needed .

let me explain ... one of my cousins came with a little gadget in his hand , it was a kind of rectangle shaped thing , he put that inside my USB socket in the front and loaded a couple of movies into that thing from my comp .

Now that after i've personally given my cousin a warm send off and he is way beyond my reach , i find that I CANT ACCESS ANY OF THE DRIVES ( i've 4 drives c: d: e: f: ) When i right click on them i find " ??(o) ????xo " instesd of the regular open you get . My browser's workin fine though .

hope i made myself clear . what do i do .

Hi, I'd like to get the best computer...is circuitcity a good place to get computers?
I'm confused whether to get dell, hp, or toshiba.
is the core 2 duo...worth the extra money as compared to the core duo? which is better the T7300 or T5300

Im curently using a netgear WGR614v6. Both wireless computers use Wirless-G, capable of 54ms. It needs to be fast enough for all 3 to play World of Warcraft at the same time.

Note: I ran jumpers from the 4 ports on the back of the existing modem to all three pc at the same time and it worked fine runnig all three with acceptable latencts of around 100(average) so i know my Internet speed can handel it.

Hey guys I just bought the laptop yesterday.
I asked the guy at the store if all I needed was the internal wireless because I am a college student that travels a lot. He said I can just use the internal, that I dont need to use a router.
So I get home and Whenever I connect to a network it will say little or no conectivity..
wat should I do guys please help me?

We have a newer computer and we gave my son the old one and he has wireless internet that is connected with ours and my husband is trying to save money on the electric bill by unplugging ours at night, and my son insists that this will ruin both computers and my husband insists it will not. Whenever I try to go to the router IP adress (192.168.1.1) it takes me to a page that says Verizon (which is my ISP provider) and it has a box for user name and ID but when I try to put in the user name and ID it doesn't work and I cannot access the page that I need to configure the router. It's a Linksys router by the way.

When I start the non destructive
recovery it starts copying files.
It stops on some and a message
box pops up stating that the file
could not be extracted. Is this a
normal part of the process. It ran
through quite a few with same till
it came to NTFS and stayed there
for over an hour. So I shut off the
power. The reason I want to do a
recovery is when I boot up I get a
Windows could not start because
the following file is missing or
corrupt.
\windows\system32\config\system
I went into dos and found that autoexec.bat, config.sys,
graph16, and NTFS showed zero bytes of data. I have a HP Pavilion
that sold without operating system disk. Is it normal for the recovery
process to be unable to extract
certain files? Is config.sys, etc.
in the hidden partition system
recovery files? I hope someone
can help me.

The class 'lucky_dip' has an array. In another class, 'Frame1', in the main method I need to read the results of the array and display in in jTextFields.

So the value at array position 0 to be displayed in jTextField1;
the value at array position 1 to be displayed in jTextField2;
etc
