Computers & Internet - 26 July 2007

Okay I need a computer for school, and I've sized down my choices, and now I just need to choose from either a Fujitsu tablet computer or a Mac Book.

Our school needs Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, PowerPoint Access & Publisher, which I heard I can get for free from Open Office for Macs, so that is not the problem. Plus, I've also heard that I can get Vista on my Mac, so no problem either.

The laptop is for, mainly school work, which is like, typing up documents, doing projects and stuff, etc. Oh, and I also take lots of pictures so I want a computer that really detects my stuff quickly. High speed... and stuff. Our school lets us bring our laptops into class as well so I want something light enough, and you know, quick, because note taking would be done there, and if I have to wait for like, say, 1 minute for Word to load, I would've missed out lots already. Yep.

So I would like to hear your suggestions on which one to get - Fujitsu T4220 or a Mac Book.

but safe mode with networking. I keep getting a blue screen that says "your computer has been shut down to protect your files" then when I restart it, it will automatically go back to the blue screen. I have even tried to restore to most recent previous working program mode(from like 4/5 days ago) and it won't let me???I just keep getting the blue screen. I NEED HELLLPPP!

My PC usually freezes and then the screen goes black. I have to switch it on and off many times to go to Windows. When I switch it on after it has crushed e continuous beep sound is coming out of my computer. When I think there is no problem suddenly it freezes and after a while a diagonal pattern is displayed on the screen (copying a particular area of the screen many many times) or other strange shapes apear on the screen. Finally , sometimes things are displayed twice in a strange way (with lines) and it's hard to see what's happening. What should I do???

P.S.: I have checked my antivirus software and there are no viruses found.

Please HELP!

I have been editing for a while and am finally buying my own machine. Since I've used machines at work I'm not really sure what to buy myself. window media player cannot detect my disk it says once it detects the cd it will automatically start buring,ive recently upgraded to windows media 10 as the last one always said windows cant burn to cd check the disk is clean and not damaged and somethink else which ive forgotten or try a new range of blank disks
