what i need to know is there a pci wifi card for desk tops that will let me pick up wifi from eny router from other homes or coffe shops the same wifi that laptops have

Ok, so two days ago i bought an office (5 comp) version of Norton Internet Security. After installing it on an office computer which is used for financial purposes it seemed to work, but this morning (two days after) the computer won't work at all (works for like 5 min then goes blue and the error message:
IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL appears.)

Then screen also says that "a problem has been detected and windows has been forced to shut down to prevent damage to your computer"



HELP!! What should i do to fix this? I desperately need to use this computer and don't know anything about computers

At the moment I have an Nvidia Geforce 4 MX4000 64mb....yeah I know. I wasted money. The thing is, it works quite nicely with my pc. I recently tried to upgrade to an Nvidia GeForce 6200 256mb. It ran WoW beautifully, but when I tried to run yahoo messenger, firefox, simple applications it would freeze, flash, or just plain crash. One of my friends bought the same gfx card for his shitty Compaq and it works better than mine. What is the cheapest solution to the problem? Are there any better gfx cards I should try?

Is there any way that I can make my Computer faster during startup. my computer does have a fair amount of programs (More than 10) it takes around three minutes to load up, i just know it can go a little faster. First of all my OS is Windows 2000 professional. I had to Download Adobe 8.1 w/ Google bar I did that fine. The problem I'm having is once I click on the attachment from my email I thought it should open automatically, but instead it's opening up in some word document with alot of gibberish letters. I don't have Microsoft Office at all on my PC I deleted accidentally along time ago. So then I click on Adobe from Desktop open it that way do a search for the pdf file in search but don't know how to open. Please help what am I doing wrong?

Hi, I am trying to burn a dvd with ripped DVD files from my other dvd. The thing is i have like all the working menus and everything. and the VOB files. Could somebody tell me how to burn the Vob files with nero, and have the same menus as the original dvd did?

Its seems some of you are too lazy to read all of the text in many questions but you think too much of your opinion to bypass the question.

So I, and others like me, choose to CAPITALIZE words for emphasis to assist in your comprehension.

but thats no good either because some of you are just too #$!@-ng precious to look at capital letters. you feel you are being shouted at.

too bad!! we use the tools we have, and if you are too fragile to be shouted at then maybe you need to peel yourself out of that chair in the basement and step into the real world.

Maybe you will run into someone and try to unload some of that self righteous crap on them in person. then you will know you've been shouted at..

Ive got a Trojan on my laptop and I've done a hell of a lot to try to get rid of it. Ive scanned it with my regular anti virus but can't get rid of it so I then tried AVG, also unsuccessful. As a last resort I ran Spybot Search & Destroy but still to no avail. Also can't delete it manually.
Any help would be reallllllly great

I want to download some free cleaners and such, which are the best ones and why should I use them? Where do I find them? I want my computer to run faster and work better. It seems like EVERY chat room that "calls" them self a current issues chat room is filled with people who are talking about something COMPLETELY DIFFERENT! In Yahoo! Chat, which used to be fun, all they have in there are idiots, who go into an Astronomy and say "any hot girl in here, type 233", soooooo off topic, and soooo annoying. I would love to talk intellectually with other intellectual people, with both different and similar opinions, but it seems like these chat rooms have no opinions at ALL. Is there a free, or non-free for that matter, live chat room where people who act stupid are kicked out? A place where people with thoughts can respectfully share them with others who have thoughts? I remember being in an Iraq war chat room, and like half of them were just people saying "death to all americans", and bull like that. There has to be a place like this. Do you guys know of such a place?

Basically, I have this curiousness about the internet and it is regarding ISP. Firstly, since there are so much major internet companies out there, I wondering if it is possible to start my internet company and compete with major internet companies such as Rogers, Bell Sympatico, and Vonage! Secondly, how does one buy a "backbone" or a connection to the webserver to establish a connection for the public through my ISP.
