I want to have the window xp desktop locked so that no one can simply change its setting, like screen resolution, wallpaper etc. Pls also let me know how to lock the clock display at the bottom of the screen so no one can double clikc it and change the time.

I have developed a software in Visual Basic 6, MS-Access in Back-end. The software directs the output to MS-Excel. It has been packaged with Package and Deployment Wizard. When i install it on other computers and make reports it says "problem loading dll. run time error 48" and aborts. On some computers it doent install either. What should i do?

I received an email from "customer Service Robot" stating that a virus has been detected in my send email box and to click on a site in the email "this patch" but how can I confirm that this is safe to install on my computer. The message said that my email box will be blocked unless I download this patch to protect from the epedimic of worms virus? Help I am afraid that this might be harmful and do not know how to confirm safety of message. Does Yahoo have a Customer Service Robot that protects your mail boxes?

its a toshiba, windows 98 with a tiny square screen. 64 mb RAM, less than 20 gb hard drive. cd/dvd drive, no burners. no WiFi. usb 1.1 ports. mouse is a stupid button in the middle of the keyboard..Whats it worth? do you think i could get at least $100? thanks

Okay, I have an Athlon 3200 single core processor on my home theater pc. The motherboard is socket 939 and I know processors are going to get hard to find so I'm looking at getting either:

An Athlon X2 3800 (512MB cache, 2Ghz processor) --Toledo core

or

An Opteron 165 (1GB cache, 1.8Ghz processor) --Denmark core.

or

just keep the processor I have and not bother.

I will not be overclocking but may underclock to make machine quieter, just looking to make my computer a little more future friendly and add some horsepower. Its only tasks are playing video's and compressing DVD's to DIVX

The picture is for a tattoo design. I found one I love, but I'd like to vary it a little. I have another pic that would look pretty cool hiding behind it.. Any way I could super-impose them together for the finished product? Just curious to know if there'a a site that I could do this with. I'd do it myself, but I'm not artistic at all. i want to embed my youtube videos into my google pages website. but i dont know how to.
I have tried copy and pasting the code that comes up next to the video when i watch it, and then i paste it into the GooglePageCreator. but when i click preview and even publish and then view live, a the text comes up, not the video.

I reinstalled windows xp on a used dell dimension I bought on ebay. After installing windows, I could not connect to the internet. This could be a dumb question but I don't claim to be computer savy by any means. Do I need to install a network card? If there is a place on the back of the tower to connect an ether net cable, does that mean it has an integrated network card? I tried to set up a connection with the install wizard but I get no where! "Computers 101 for dummies" anyone?

I have purchased a HP Printer along with HP laptop. There is a reference in the manual about the memory card. I could not separately figure it out.Hence i have a doubt , whether it is fixed by default in its slot or manually to be fixed. And anyway what is the use of memory card in a printer?
