May want to consider a Broadband Wireless card such as the ones Sprint offer. The price is kinda steep (about 50-60 per month) but gives you relatively fast internet connections anywhere you get a cell phone signal.
Excell for laptops on the go.

There is a way with Non line of sight. You need to use a bridge or point to Multi-point product with OFDM technologies. I have played and installed a few of these products.
It just really depends on what obstructions you have. You can't burn through a forest or earth. If its just a few dense trees, you have a chance.
You can also use 900MHz instead of 2.4 and stay out of the 5Gig range. 900MHz will be slower but at least it will work.
Most of the areas where I live are non line of sight and we use repeater stations to bounce off of. Using a high point or tower where you can see both locations is generally your best bet. I would do a complete site survey before purchasing any equipment.
I hope this helps. Good Luck

I recently was given the opportunity to test the Super Cantenna Wireless Booster Antenna. The Cantenna name is appropriate given that the product is in the shape of the can, similar to a Pringle's can in size, and sits on a tripod. The seemingly simple design is advertised to stand apart from the homemade "Pringle's" type antennas due to its dimensions, shielding, and polarization, which have been engineered for maximum signal strength and distance.

I highly doubt it i know some can go up to 250ft if you buy a power adapter extender that extends the signal but not 2 miles you could run a high speed cable cord but that would get expensive big bucks.
