Ok, so two days ago i bought an office (5 comp) version of Norton Internet Security. After installing it on an office computer which is used for financial purposes it seemed to work, but this morning (two days after) the computer won't work at all (works for like 5 min then goes blue and the error message:
IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL appears.)

Then screen also says that "a problem has been detected and windows has been forced to shut down to prevent damage to your computer"

HELP!! What should i do to fix this? I desperately need to use this computer and don't know anything about computers

I suggest downloading some hardware monitor software that will show you how hot your computer is getting. See if the temp is going up and the computer shutting down because of it. If so, I would upgrade my heatsink and fan, add a case fan, stuff like that. If it is not heat, I would try using the repair option from the Windows Installation cd
I could possibly be other hardware that is failing too. But yeah, Norton is a pain so maybe the other 2 are right. I would try my idea first, check the temperature before unistalling anything.

I would try:
System Restore (information below)

Then, Restart, press and hold down the F8 key until you get the black and white menu to get into Safe Mode. Press the appropriate key.

From Safe Mode, uninstall Norton
Restart

Repair Windows to be safe
then you can try to install Norton again

I've had Norton for years with no problem (knock wood).

Reinstalling the operating system should help. Norton though... I've had too much trouble with it.
