Buy and use programs like "no trace" or "evidence eliminator". They remove all the files on where you went on the Internet and then overwrite them and delete multiple times so there is no "mirror" traceable file on your computer. But always remember that sites like yahoo keep a record of every single site and click you make on the Internet and will turn that record over to any policeman with or without a reason. All the police have to do is ask. Yahoo does nothing - ever - to protect your privacy.

If your using Internet Explorer do it like the other people said. If your using firefox: Tools > Clear Private Data > check all boxes and hit clear. I also suggest CClearner, which deletes alot of temporary files from the internet.

I run a power drill through my hard drives when I'm done with a computer, before I throw it away. Six to eight holes, then I take a sledgehammer to it.

Anything less and the data can still be recovered.

I think F-disking your computer would wipe it all clean.Im not sure how to do that so you should look it up online. It basically wipes your computer of EVERYTHING.You will have to re-install ALL your programs, but everything will be gone. What do you have to hide? :)
