Computers & Internet - 4 July 2007

So i plugged in a new flat panel monitor because it was nicer then the other monitor that is hooked to the laptop. But both things are showing the same thing. They are not working as different monitors but as that same. When i identify this screen they both show as screen 1. How do i seperate them so only one is on?

Please help, I have a windows professional XP and I was browsing websites, than a warning poped up and it says sommething like(cant' remember) it will shut down due to virus(i think it says virus) Now everytime I use the laptop, it starts safe mode, and safe mode with.... And it doesent start out like what it used to be; with the blue login screen. Now even if I try safe mode and login mine and also the Adminstrator account, it shuts down BY IT SELF around 5 minutes all the time. What should I do, please help.

Every time I want to open something it says A program needs your permission to continue. I always press continue and it works. Is there a way to make that stop popping up.

I start up the laptop and it went to this safe mode, page thingy. I put all the safe modes, start program normally, ect. But on safe mode, it went to the main page where I put in my pw and choose the username. But the page was BIG! I tried to down size it but it didn't do. I couldn't get on the internet either. D: SO I turned off the laptop normally. (start, turn off, turn off) And it turned off. I turned it back ON and it still went to that safe mode screen. When I did the normal one, it started the computer OVER and went to the same page. Please help me. Person that gets right answer gets 10 points. Please, I really need help. D: I'm on my computer by the way. And yes the computer is slow.

I have a trackzor tracker on my mypace page. For the last several months, the tracker records show that some unidentified person keeps going to my page, sometimes twice a day. When I first noticed this, I changed my profile to private but they still continue to show up on the tracker records. Everyone else that's visited my site is known and accounted for.

How do you handle such a situation? I'm wondering if this isn't an internet stalker?

The 7300 GS EVGA seems good with all its ratings and requires 250W power supply, has 550 MHz core clock and 533 MHz memory clock. Has 256MB GDDR2 video memory.

The 7300 GS Sparkle seems exacly like the one above but it doesnt have any reviews or ratings. Has core clock 550 MHz and 256MB DDR2. This cards information states it has DirectX 10 Technology.

The last one 8400 GS card has no reviews but seems its the newest, has DirectX10 support which is good for future gaming , etc. It has 256MB DDR2 memory and 450 MHz core clock and 800 MHz memory clock. It costs exacly/or even less then the older first one.

Which is best and what do the different memories mean? (DDR2, GDRR2) which is better too?

My computer is very low on memory and I'm having a hard time with my printer. It won't scan a document anymore. I do have a program called Act which I don't use anymore and was wondering if I took it off my computer, would that give me enough memory to make it worthwhile. Should I just remove the contact info or the whole thing including the program itself. I hate to go out and buy a new computer- Don't know if buying an external drive would help me.

I have installed new memory, I run virus scans with multiple anti-virus software, and have tried disk clean ups and defrags. yet my computer is still slow as hell.

when opening or minimizing a window, it will lag for a few few seconds before doing the opperation, the same occurs when clicking from one text box to another or when selecting a window that is not active.

what can i do to clean this up?
