norton internet security 2007 is the best but slows the system a little bit. It kills away every virus before even they enter in to your PC. Always alert.
The free ones are sleepy but detects viruses once your PC is already infected. what's the use.

I am using this one. You get a 90 day free trial, anti-virus, anti-spyware, and loads of other security things. I have used it for 15 months, and never had any problems..good luck>>

I use Norton anti virus because that's what my computer guy originally installed.

I've been using Norton for serveral years now. Just the antivirus not the suite with all the firewall, email, etc. etc.

Avast for me. It is free and does not use a lot of system resources and RAM. It has live scanning and protect my YM as well.
Previously I used Bit defender (free version) but it is not compatible with Vista.
