I wish to network four computers together. I have a BT Voyager 220V router (1USB and 1 ETHERNET), those two are successfully networked together. To add the others should I buy a Network Hub? What does a Network Hub do? What inputs and outputs does it have?

Ok, here goes, a friend came to my place with his laptop and asked me to format it clean with windows vista ultimate....thing which i did....his laptop is a Packard-Bell EasyNote R 9950 and once it has been formatted with vista ultimate, the dvd-rom has dissapeared from My Computer...i don't know how to get it back...could somebody please help me by finding the right driver for his DVD-Rom (its a combo drive...)

i have a os x 10.4.10 installed on my macbook i lost the original disks came with it , but i have another original disks or OS 10.4.7 i have tried to install it on my macbook but it says this software can not be installed!!!!
any one know how to insatll it plz ?
or even can i format and delet the old os x10.4.10 ?

I have SBC/ATT/Yahoo DSL. FOR MONTHS I have had problems with my internet cutting off, not being able to access Yahoo messenger or download yahoo email to outlook, etc. They have come out and checked the lines and last time they said the lines were okay and the problem is with the DSL hub for the subdivision or maybe the modem? Then, all of a sudden, everything was okay for several months and now here we go again... How can I tell if its the modem? Maybe its my computer? Time to switch DSL companies? Please advise!

I noticed a number of answers stating that GDI is a scam or rip-off. I would like to here from those who joined GDI and came to the above referenced conclusion. And if possible give me details of your experience.

iv also create users in the active directory and cant connected to the shared folders remotely form other computers. iT just a home network.
It would be could if they just logged n just by clicking on the shared folder. and just entering credentials.

Im sure ive set the permissions correctly.

-Doesn't require an install on the computer I'm connecting from.

I am only asking the name of this concept....I know it's complicated to actually create. I'm trying to design a web page and I want to add the little windows that pop up to give you more info about something on the page...like on netflix.com, where you put your browser over a movie title and it's full summary pops up in a little window, but it's not flash and it doesn't actually open a pop-up or anything.
