Ok, here goes, a friend came to my place with his laptop and asked me to format it clean with windows vista ultimate....thing which i did....his laptop is a Packard-Bell EasyNote R 9950 and once it has been formatted with vista ultimate, the dvd-rom has dissapeared from My Computer...i don't know how to get it back...could somebody please help me by finding the right driver for his DVD-Rom (its a combo drive...)

What you two are doing is illegal and you both know it.

He should buy the Vista disks from PB or do without.

Hasn't anybody told you about Windows Genuine Advantage? Google for it!!!

Vista is a joke; far too many problems it! I'm very annoyed because I paid so much money for a half-baked product. I bought a MacBook a couple of weeks ago, upgraded to Leopard a few days ago and I absolutely love it! I used to think Mac users were just BS'ing when they said Macs "just work", but it really is true. I've used Windows all my life but I'm glad I've finally seen the light. OS X is the future; I will only use vista at work because I have no choice.
