DON'T ASSUME I KNOW ANYTHING. I NEED STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS...STARTING WITH "PUT YOUR CD INTO THE COMPUTER." IF IT MEANS ANYTHING, I HAVE "NERO" SOFTWARE FOR MY AUDIO/VIDEO STUFF.

The fastest & easiest way to RIP a CD

1. Turn computer on
2. Put music CD into the CD tray
3. Wait for media detector to display on the screen
4. From the resulting screen – choose “COPY AUDIO CD TO COMPUTER”
5. Click OK
6. The media player will open in the copy music mode
7. Select the songs to be copied by checking them at the left
8. Click ‘COPY TO COMPUTER’ button in the upper right
The selected tracks will be copied to the computer hard drive.

Depending on which version of Media Player you have, your computer may be slightly different.

Put the CD into the compuer.
Now wait a bit and a Window should come up asking what you wish to do with the CD.
Close the window.
Now go onto Start (Bottom Left of the screen), click on it and choose "My Computer".

Under "Removable Drives" it should show the CD, double click on it to open.
Find the song you want to put in My Music and third click on it then choose Copy.

Now go to My Music (That should be found on the Start menu too) and third click on an empty place in the folder and choose paste.

You need to "rip it" from your music cd.
