I start up the laptop and it went to this safe mode, page thingy. I put all the safe modes, start program normally, ect. But on safe mode, it went to the main page where I put in my pw and choose the username. But the page was BIG! I tried to down size it but it didn't do. I couldn't get on the internet either. D: SO I turned off the laptop normally. (start, turn off, turn off) And it turned off. I turned it back ON and it still went to that safe mode screen. When I did the normal one, it started the computer OVER and went to the same page. Please help me. Person that gets right answer gets 10 points. Please, I really need help. D: I'm on my computer by the way. And yes the computer is slow.

Safe mode is a debugging mode, to fix problems usually, and only runs the minimal items to make the computer run (ie. no interent, no printers, etc.). You don't normally want to boot to safe mode. If your computer is booting straight to safe mode without you doing anything, there may be a problem. Does the screen say anything before it boots into this?

When the computer starts, try looking for a prompt for a startup menu, or press f8 repeatedly, and at the menu, select start windows normally. If this still doesn't work, we will need to determine what errors there may be, maybe you can post back.

Good luck.

So the Laptop starts in safe mode everytime? Turn it off and back on. Then while its starting up keep hitting F8. It should come to a screen that lets you select how you would like to start: Normal, Safe Mode, etc. Pick normal and see how it goes.

When starting in safe mode, it should give you the option of restoring your computer (after entering windows). Do this. Restore your computer to a safe point a couple of weeks back. This is all assuming you have windows xp. If not, when the safe mode screen comes up, highlight "last known good configuration" and hit enter.

Hello,
If it keeps starting in safe mood then there has to be a problem, but you already know this,LOL,I am thinking of a driver issue, Start the Computer In safe Mood.Right click on my computer, go down to Properties and then go to hardware then to device manager, check and see if there is anything listed there with a ? or a ! beside it,if so then either update the driver or roll it back.

Hope this helps

You might have a virus! I would put my virus startup disk in and run it from the boot! It shoud not be asking you for your password.. Hackers do that to upload your password onto their systems.. Be careful
