For example, i am editing a post from 2006 and if i saved it, it will be pushed to the top of my RSS feed listed a s a new post. How can I avoid this? I just want to edit it and leave it off my RSS feed.

I'm making a herbarium. I decided to print the data for each plant. So I have made a document with about 100 pages that each one has the data for a plant, example:

Family: Fagaceae
Species: Quercus coccifera
Date: 4-5-07

The data are actually more but let's say they are these 3. Is there a way that I can "automatically" add ex. the common name of the plant above the date. I want to make it like this:

Family: Fagaceae
Species: Quercus coccifera
Common name: holly
Date: 4-5-07

But I want to add automatically the phrase "common name" to all pages and then write one by one the names. Can I do it???
Please help me...

I wanna buy a computer with no OS installed, cause that is cheaper, then install Mac OS X tiger (or other recent mac OS). Will i be able to install a mac OS or any other major OS on these computers shipped with no pre-installed OS?

I just took my buddies computer. A 2.4Ghz Dell (not sure of the model name) and I reformatted it. I installed Windows Xp back on to the computer and now, without his original Dell CD, I have a bunch of hardware devices that need drivers. Including his Ethernet, VGA adapter, Sound, and some other stuff. Im not even sure where his model number is located at on the computer. There 10000 different combos of numbers that could be his model number. X10-60264, OU7670, are the two that stand out... But they dont sound like model numbers. I really need these drivers ASAP because he wants the computer back before the weekend (I work with him) Some more info on the computer is its a 2.4Ghz Celeron, 512mb ram, old motherboard without even an AGP slot. Hi there. I bought the Toshiba laptop so that I could work and be entertained as I travel and work around the world regularly. However, my DVD drive is locked, so I can only watch UK DVDs!

I fail to see the sense in a flippin PORTABLE computer having a region lock.

Anyway, I've googled the problem but can't find a solution. I know firmware updates/hacks are illegal and I'm not saying I'd use one, but I would like to know all relevant info available so that I can make an informed decision.

If the only solution is to buy another external DVD drive, please recommend a reasonably priced one.

I have downloaded many files of .torrent. But none of them start its download process in programmes like utorrent. Bitcomet or Orbit Downloader. Download Manager or Flashget. It shows how many peers are avaialble but never connected to anyone of them. Can anybody clarify me how to start download after you have got .torrent mini files in your list of downloads. Its about two months and none of my files started to download a single KB. Please answer me in detail. I am new in this torrent kind of thing. By the way I am using Wireless Local Area Network Satellite Internet Connection. Is it something not permissible in this connection or what? Does type of connection affect downloading a torrent. Other simple downloads are very fast i.e above 100kb/sec

I just bought a brand new computer 4 days ago. It came with vista basic. It is running WAY TOO Slow. I have upgraded the memory to 1gig and went into msconfig to disabled all the unnecessary start up files. I did not disable any Microsoft files as I did not know which ones i needed. Still running slow. Best Buy wants to charge me $70 to OPTIMIZE my PC to run faster. They said there are several Microsoft applications they can disable. I do not want to pay $70 as I have already spent enough on upgrades.
Can someone tell me which microsoft applications I can disable or where i can find the info.

My mom has ContraVirus software on her PC that produces a stream of popups. I have been trying to help her to fix the problem, but we are 3,000 miles apart and she is not very computer savvy. I walked her through downloading the free TrendMicro Housecall to scan her system, but it has been running for 24 hours and is stuck in the middle still. My laptop is a Toshiba Tecra S1. The specs say:

Memory:
* Standard 512MB DDR
* Maximum 2GB
* Expansion Modules 128MB, 256MB, 512MB, 1024MB
* PC2700, PC2100 modules
* 2 Expansion memory slots (One filled with 512MB, can be replaced by 128MB, 256MB, 512MB or 1GB modules).

Can I just buy the regular DDR ram being sold everywhere or do I need to buy special notebook ram (which seems pricier). Not sure what to order!
