F8 during boot, normal load

if that doesnt work....

set bios to boot via cdrom
put win98 in cdrom
start computer with cd support

once done
fdisk
delete partitions
restart comp
repeat but create partitions
reinstall win98 tada! works great!
LOL

OR
just reinstall win98 if you want some folders but everything in windows and program files as a loss.

If your computer continually boots into Safe Mode, then it's telling you that there's either a software or hardware conflict and it can't power up normally.

So this is where you start asking yourself, what have I recently updated/installed on this thing? In Safe Mode, it'll allow you to uninstall drivers or programs. Just start un-doing what you've done most recently one at a time to see if it'll then power up normally.

Typically, though, I'd look at drivers first. Updated any drivers recently? Video driver maybe?

Good luck and hope this helps!
