Run a network cable from your DSL modem to the "uplink" port on the router. (Check the documentation if you are not sure which one that is). Run a second cable from the router to your PC or laptop. Run any software that came with the router to configure it.
Assuming that your PC or laptop as a wireless card in it, Go into the Control Panel and run the Wireless Network Wizard. The will set up the wireless network and allow you to set a password, etc., for it. Once you have configured it, you will not need to have the cable from the router to the PC anymore.
After the initial set up, you can add other computers by just running the Wireless Wizard on them.

If your router is having DSL modem inside it then you do not need anything else.
else your service provider may provide you a dsl modem.
after connecting your dsl modem to your network.
you will get a Ethernet or LAN output, connect this output to your router.
by default your router is configured to work without doing anything.
you can configure it for security reasons, else you can directly use it.
now Router is also connected,
go to your laptop, search for wireless network, once you find it connect to it.
now you are ready to surf internet.
if you find any difficulty you can send me a mail at help@paijwar.com.
