How can you edit an old post on Blogger without having it show on the RSS feed as a new post?

For example, i am editing a post from 2006 and if i saved it, it will be pushed to the top of my RSS feed listed a s a new post. How can I avoid this? I just want to edit it and leave it off my RSS feed.
