I keep getting mixed opinions on eMachines.Some say they are a complete waste of money, while others say they have had theirs for years without any problems.Does anyone know if the overall response to eMachines is positive or negative?

I have bugs in my registry files. I have tried searching for them (hidden files and system files included) and they don't show as a result. I know they're there because my anti-virus picks them up but I only have the trial version so I need to remove them myself. I don't have the full file path. All it gives me is HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE/Microsoft etc. Please help!!!

i have purchased a linksys broadband router 54g,after completing the wiring and following all the instructions on the provided CD i cant access the website to make any changes on the router.there is no LAN and i cannot access the internet. but when i connect with the adsl modem alone i can access the net.
the moment i connect the router there is no LAN.I ahve wired all the cables correctly and RJ45 cables.
please help.

Anyone know why this occurred? I've copied a letter below from a friend and what happend to him:
At home on my computer, I have two firewalls, antivrus, antiphishing, spysweeper and all that I could get to feel secure about my system. Sometimes it was frustrating because I would have to figure out the latest versions just to get on the internet or to recieve / send E-mail. I came home from work, during the day, and I passed by my computer, which was turned off the night before, and noticed that while I was resting it had turned itself on. I had configured BIOS so that it could not be "awakened" for any reason. And since the power had been turned off at the power switch, I was baffled. The first thing that I did was to unplug it from my internet service. Then I rebooted it and it required a password, which I had not implimented nor did I know what it was.
Concerned about what might have been retrieved from my computer, I found out through my bank, that

This version is followed by the message which I've sent. The computer version starts off (after the usual From/To/Subject/Date): MIME-Version:1.0 Received:from web..........this goes on to lots of stuff which I don't understand and finishes FILETIME=[various numbers and letters]

When I check my messages sent box this stuff doesn't appear and I only found out about it because I was informed by the recipients.

Although my message reaches the recipient, it's rather un-nerving for them to be confronted by all this gibberish before they get to my message.

Does anybody know what's happening and how I can stop it?

The Pc:
80GB HDD, 50% free
256 MB RAM
2.4 GHZ Intel Processor
845 GVSR Motherboard
LG combo drive

I have tried various player softwares like powerdvd, real player etc but the movie is played like a slide show of pictures. No background softwares working while playing dvd. It plays vcds very well. cleaned the dvd.

How to set it Right, Any Ideas?

and then format the partition while I carry out an operation - can I then copy back from the external to the original location. I need to get my Vista installation off of my internal hard drive for an hour or so and I wonder if copying the Vista partition to the external and then back again (so everything works as it did before I started) is a feasible option. Is there any technical reason why this would not work. Note that once the Vista partition has been copied to the external, it will just sit there until I am ready to copy it back to the original location. I realize I cannot use the Vista while it is on the external

when i used to go to yahoo groups, ebay, or craigslist, when i viewed a page, it would be highlighted with a different color,my computer no longer does this, and i keep going back looking at pages i have already viewed. any ideas on what setting changed? i am pretty much a computer idiot, any help greatly appreciated, as i really miss this feature
