The best external drives are the SATA drives - as long as your computer can support it. The USB external drives might be a bit slow for serious on-line gaming.

Because the speed from which your computer can access files that are internal is greater than the speed of an external USB drive, games and programs usually run better from the internal hard drive.
However if you were to move all your music, pictures, videos, etc to the external drive (where they will still work just fine) then you would have room of the internal drive for games.
The "rule of thumb" is programs on the internal drive, data on the external drive.
The other alternative, if you PC case has room to hold one, is to add a second internal hard drive instead of an external one.

The backward compatibility is two chips for the 20 & 60gb fashions that became into first presented then the 80gb (4 usb one additionally bundled with the motor typhoon & steel kit sturdy 4 programs) has a million chip and utility that replaced the different chip discovered interior the 20 & 60gb ps3s besides the shown fact that because of the fact the inspiration of the ps3 has specific programing all ps3's are backward nicely matched with ps1 video games. 4. in my view i think of it could be larger on the field yet on the back the place the warning / notices are (confident that advantageous print) it says this 40, eighty or 160gb psthree isn't nicely matched with ps2 utility. Yeah and some times no....You can store your games in external hard disk and when you are playing high graphics games through external hard disk then the data transfer speed is not enough....
the main problem is installing in external hard disk creates problems ....
