Dell did not erase but Win XP will not start. I want to reload XP but I don't know where to begin. Was the drive damaged by the strong magnetism? He had ten huge woofers rigt next to and under the tower. There was a shelf board between the tower and bottom speakers but these were huge speakers.How do I reload and where do I start? He noticed that the computer was getting slower and some programs were not running efficiently. I need a step by step way to get the computer to accept a reload and I do not have a rescue disc. I have Norton 2007 and the Win XP upgrade from 98 to XP. Can anyone help me?

I tried getting updates for my computer but it just keeps searching and never finishes. It just keeps going on and on. I also had driver 5 not found come up on me one time restarting after uninstalling a program if someone could help me with that too.

When I try to use some dos commands (eg, find, copy) I get the message:

'whatever' is not recognised as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file

However, some other commands (eg, dir, set, mkdir) work fine. Can somebody please tell me why some commands don't work? (I am using Windows XP).

Once the registry clean is on your computer and has found certain specific errors and gives the option to remove or clean an item--how am I to determine which item may be removed without damaging the way the computer runs. my registr scan says I have over 1200 problems! It gives the option to remove any or all of them, but warns that removing them can cause disfunction of my normal wanted programs. Should registry clean only be done by a professional? And how much would that cost?

i have an ATI Radeon 9250 gpu with 128mb ram on a pci adapter (not great, i know). im trying to overclock it a bit to squeeze out as much performance as i can. i dont want to run it at dangerous levels.

i downloaded ATI tools and used that to find the current speeds:
GPU is running at a 240.75mhz core speed
memory is running at 200.25mhz core speed

how much faster can i make it?

please dont tell me to buy a new card or computer. i have no money!
