my regional settings are set to united kingdom as are all my settings, running office xp pro but my symbol is in $ and need to change it to £. never used it before but need to write an invoice, cheers

You need to select the cells you want to change, click on FORMAT CELLS. Select currency, and then change the symbol.

Et voila!

Hi in the excel sheet go to the top toolbar, select format, then currency, scroll down until you see the euro symbol and select that, toy should then get the euro symbol in front of any numbers you type. You can either select cells or the whole sheet to accept this. Hope this helps

When in Microsoft Excel select the cell(s) that you want to change the currency of;

Right click on your mouse and it will give you a small menu;

Using your left button of your mouse click on 'Format Cells';

It will now open another box of options, you will see the first tab in this box is called 'Number';

Below that you have several other options: 'General', 'Number', 'Currency' etc.;

Select 'Currency' and you will see an option called 'Symbol';

Click on the drop down menu and select the currency you want to change to.

Done.

The is under the Format menu, and the Cell selection. On the number tab set the currency.
