two Macs?
I believe it's just hardware that you plug 'n play but the hardware requirement says PC...Here's the link to the device I'm thinking of buying soon.

Using a hub will only allow one computer at a time to connect the internet. Use a router, it will work great.

You will need a router to share and connection. A hub or switch is not intelligent, and can not route packets from more than one machine.
