I would like it to play like the sounds in windows (beep etc.) with nothing visual going on.

My PC has all the latest upgrades. But recently it has started to go very slow when opening files and folders. Also, it's reported a couple of Explorer related errors. Sometimes it takes ages to even shut down. Frequent scans for viruses and other malware have come up clean. The Windows CD that came with the PC is only a disk image, I'll wipe the entire disk if I use that. I already bought Windows once so I don't fancy buying it again just to get Windows Explorer fixed (Isn't Bill rich enough?). Is there an exe file of Explorere I can download? If I copy the exe from my friends's PC will it work?

It's called look2me and came from an email. I don't know if it's a worm or a virus, but spybot and adaware won't get rid of it. I get bombarded with pop-ups and can't get anything done on the internet! HELP!!!!

I have just bought a Toshiba Satellite A110-A1160 with a Intel Celeron M 370 Proccessor (1.47GHz Clock Speed) and It came with a ATI Raedon 200M graphics with 128MB.
Now all the other feautures of my laptop except the graphics card will work with Microsoft Windows Vista Basic Home Edition.
Is there anyway to replace the Graphics Card? And how much would it cost?

when i start my net connection then after some time an error occurs in svchost.exe and net will automatically disconnet
The error is like this "An exception unhandled win32 exception has occured in svchost.exe
possible debbuggers :
1 new instance of visual studio.net 2003
2 set the currently selected degugger as the default
do u want to debug using the selected debugger?
yes or no "
I mention whole error above
now what can i do for this problem?

Im using winxp,viewsonic m70b monitor.I tryed downloading the driver but nothing changed.When i open web page it isnt full screen and images and characters are really small.Any ideas what i should do? Thank you.

Good day. In school, a wireless connection was installed recently but is restricted to students working or people generally working in the IT Department which is on level 2. I have the access number to use the wireless. I understand the wireless connection is only picked up on level 2 and once u past that area, it get weak and picks up nothing at all. One of my classrooms on level 3 is right above the wireless source. I wud like to kno if wireless can pass through concrete since it is a concrete floor. The wireless connection is 40-50MB per sec. If it does pass thru concrete, what wud in yur estimation the connection will be? and thanks! Laterz.

ok i'm not trying to sound selfish but my husband is leaving for overseas very soon and i'm wanting to get him a laptop so me and the kids can communicate with him better than just by mail it will be easier on the kids. anyways i was told that there is sites i can go to and get one for free but the sites i find want credit card #'s. i mean i don't mind paying for one but i don't have $1200 or more to pay for it at once. i'm not looking for a hand out , just want to know if anyone has any idea of where to go to maybe get a fee one or one that won't cost me a arm and a leg. i can't go to a rent to own place cause he won't be able to take it out of the state let alone country till it is paid off. so if anyone has a clue please let me know. god bless

Basically at uni i share a wireless net connection with 3 other people. I updated my service pack to windows service pack 2, which helped as initially it found the connection (and had a wireless net work connection manager) and cut out for periods of several hours or more. Now it says the signal is 'very low' (i am using a usb network adapter, my friend said it is possibly due to the fact that a laptop card would pick up a wireless signal from a larger range), and cuts out but reconnects more often. Are there any compy buffs out there who can help me pls? Would be much appreciated...

i recently reformatted my computer and upon installing my graphic card(Nvidia Tnt2 Model 64 Pro), there is a warning saying about not passing the window logo test but i continue installing it anyway... however after installing the driver and restarted my computer, my windows seems to hang frequently and then will state about an error occuring due to my graphic card... so does that mean my graphic card cannot be used anymore since this never happen before i reformat my computer. really need help on this... thanks

This is suppost to be like the best site ever yer ?
