when i start my broadband conection then after some time it will automatically disconnect due to svchost.exe?

when i start my net connection then after some time an error occurs in svchost.exe and net will automatically disconnet
The error is like this "An exception unhandled win32 exception has occured in svchost.exe
possible debbuggers :

svchost.exe is a generic process for running services. Sounds like the service that your broadband provider installed on your system is crashing.

Do NOT try to re-install your OS!! That is rediculous and not needed at all. Do NOT stop ANY of these services, even one by one or you may end up not being able to start your computer at all!!! You can easily see this executable is in control of a great many services running on your system. It is crucial that you not disable this program or your system will fail. I do not think you have a virus.

Go into your event viewer and locate these errors. Double click and the Properties will come up with a more detailed description of the events. It sounds to me like there is a problem in the Visual Studio.Net 2003 Program. Did you recently install this program? If so then remove it via the add/remove applet and then try re-installing it. Sometimes errors occur during an install which affect other areas of our computers. If this does not work contact the manufacturers of the program and tell them what is happening. You may need a different version of the program as it is possible there are currupt files on the version you have.

Now, as your connection is being interferred with, you may be able to go into your services and check to ensure these are set to the following startup configurations:

DNS Client, Automatic
Network Connections-Manual
Network Location Awareness-Manual
Remote Access connection Manger-Manual
Windows Managment Instrumentation-Automatic
Wireless Zero Configuration-Automatic if using WiFi
Workstation-Automatic

Check these by going to Start-All Programs-Administrative Tools-Services. A window will appear with a list of computer services. If any of the above settings are not as I wrote them, double click on the one which is wrong and then set it to what is described.


If you did not recently install this program mentioned above, and all you Computer Services are set right, and you still experiance this problem then do go ahead and do a System Restore and set your computer back to a date you were not receiving these errors. Make sure you go back far enough so you can be sure it is earlier than the problem Remember any software you installed between the restore point and today will not longer be on your system and you will need to re-install those programs, if any.

If setting a restore point does not work, then you may need to contact a computer repair store and get professional help. Do NOT wipe your hard drive and re-install the hard drive. There is seldom a real reason to do so and it is a drastic measure. Any good tech will be able to locate the problem, isolate it and fix it, without re-installing an OS. Only lazy techs do that, as all problems are fixable if the tech will take the time to track down the real problem and then fix it. I know because I am related to several techs and have some experiance myself. Not as much as they do, but I am learning quickly. ;-)

Anyway, please do not wipe your hard drive and try re-installing your OS, that is drastic and a tech can find the problem and fix it for a lot less hassle, time and money. Money being how much it will cost to get a new OS if you mess up one you don't really know how to re-install.

I hope just removing the program listed in the error and then re-installing it or getting a different version will fix this problem. It is odd though that it is affecting your Internet Connection. But then any currupt file(s) will affect the computer is very odd ways. Have a nice day.

If this doesnt work the next step would be to identify the DLL thats cauusing the crash and replace it or reinstall its tree. Im 99% sure this will fix it. Sorry I forgot the name of the prog that id's the power that each DLL is using but its on my utility cd..... try the stuff on sysinternals.com

Also - I dont see any evidence of spyware or virus yet... Usually anyone that launches spyware or viruses wants the PC to work on the itnernet - i doubt its virus or spyware.

Dont listen to anyone esle here except "Jerry" - try his suggestions too but first identify which svchost is casuing the problem. Many schhost "files" are hosting many services behind them. find the correct one and shut down those services 1 by 1. keep in mind I do this for a living.

You may need to check your registry. You can get a free scan, and determine if anything here is causing this problem. Many times if too many things are going on inside your computer, it makes it tough for it to keep it's connection. For this try a progam similar to ad-aware by Lavasoft. It's still free and is one of the hardest working protection devices on the web. Also check your firewalls and make sure they're not blocking the connection. Go into your control panel and click on Windows firewall to get your settings. The only other thing is to have a good Anti-Virus program and to check your network settings. Make sure the AV is running at all times and keep it up to date. If you have a problem with ram or space in your computer, you may want to lose a few progams or update your computer. svchost.exe is a process that hosts many services on your computer. One of those underlying processes is causing the problem.

If you've recently installed any software, try uninstalling it, or using Windows XP system restore to revert your system back to a time when it worked. Chances are, you've installed some problem software.
