We have 2 computers at home. I emailed a Microsoft Word document to my own email address, to enable me to open it on the other computer and edit it. I did that, saved the document, but when I tried reloading it, Word said it couldn't locate it! Where did my dratted computer save my file to? Can it be retrieved? Thanks in advanced, a stressed computer amateur

My computer keeps freezing. It loads up OK( usually) but then crashes after a couple of minutes. Been trying to fix it but it doesn't run long enough to finish running a registry patrol scan or virus scan. Any ideas? Can I run it in a different mode or something to stop it from crashing whilst I run tests.

I'm on windows XP, (am using registry patrol because it looks simpler to run than XP medic).

(Can I have simple jargon free step by step instructions please, I can work a computer but am definately not an expert).

I made a system update about two weeks ago including adding Windows Defender. I have purchased this system about two years ago with the original Windows XP, no funny business...promise.

Now, it claims I have a counterfeit version of the Operating System and is requiring that I purchase a legal copy.

What happened probably and how do I correct this?

ram is 224 mb

i thought a ram was a goat or ramming into a wall

Haha this is going to sound really strange, but i quite like getting them, they amuse me.
Plus they all go into a spam folder so i dont have to read them if i dont want. I just find them really amusing.
