My Heritage hangs up in third gear shifting to 4th on the way up and shifting to 2nd on way down. It requires moderate acceleration to higher RPM to be able to shift. Is this the beggining of the failure of the tranny or just some sort of adjustment that needs to be made or too tough to tell? Only 11K miles and well taken care of. I thought the warranty was 36 months and found out it is 24 months. Any suggestions?

I am looking to buy a classic motorcycle. I like the look of the early 60's to late 70's Harleys but a lot of people say they will need constant work to keep them on the road. Does anyone know if there is any truth to this? what are some of the common problems with these classic motorcycles?

Three motorcyclists hit a black bear as it crossed Interstate 95 in Florida....What is the most bizarre part of this story? A black bear in Florida? A bear crossing I-95 in Florida? A bear getting hit by a motorcycle? A bear getting hit by 3 motorcycles? Something else? I don't really see this happening again for a very long time!

I have a '83 KZ750 motorcycle. I just discovered today that the wire brush on my dremel can polish the engine block; it actually makes the engine block bright and shiny. Is this a bad idea? Will my engine block rust? Am I removing some protective coating? What's the engine block made of, anyway?

It looks pretty good, btw.

I am considering getting a scooter/moped. Although I am 20 and have the money, my mother tells me she will not allow it because it is dangerous. Someone please tell me the risks involved with riding a scooter and convince me that I shouldn't get one. Because right now, I think driving a car is more dangerous to other people.

why a Shoei? thats just how an advertisement started that encouraged me to buy a Shoei helmet then the ad went on to say--No other helmet in the world can surpass the handmade quality of a Shoei............. ad in Sept 07 Rider magazine. I was also encouraged to buy a Shoei by the praising reviews. All this was about full faced helmets I only buy and wear half helmets. My question how can a company that can make such a wonderful full face helmet make such a poor or cr.... half helmet?? Or are their full faced helmets not all that wonderful just way over priced? Maybe Shoei does not even make their half helmet? I know I made a huge mistake. But i have never saw a Shoei helmet. I purchased a Shoei half helmet it had very poor linings and a thin strap that easly twisted, are the full faced Shoei helmet like this????

1975 Honda CB 360: 9,600 miles.

When I shift up or down within the first three gears I can hear an extra two clanks in quick succession after shifting. Would it be something to worry about? Should I take it to a Honda Shop? I just changed the oil so it shifts pretty nicely, but I can still hear these extra clinking/ clanking noises... Could they be pieces broken off from the gears or something? There doesn't seem to be any change in performance.
