Leather riding jacket, good quality leather boots, tight denim jeans.Make sure everything fits snugly,it's not a fashion statement, nothing is more irritating than having your clothes flapping and slapping you in a 70 MPH breeze.Take extra clothes for warmth and probably a scarf to wrap your neck.Less you take the better,2 or 3 changes max and depending on the length of the trip, you can always do laundry at the hotel.Ask your B/F what to do when riding, bikes turn by shifting your weight,do not wiggle around alot or you will be irritating to him.let him do the leaning and you should maintain your center of gravity directly behind him.Let him know when you want to get off and stretch, the ride is supposed to be fun,not a torture test.A break every hour is best.Hope you have a safe and enjoyable ride.
Added:
As to helmet, how much value would you place on your head?$10.00 head,$10.00 helmet.$300.00 head,$300.00 helmet.Your choice.( I always wear one)

"If you don't like the weather, wait 5 minutes."
Old saying.
flh ryder is right. Our weather is similar to yours, so bring a set of long underwear and raingear. Whatever you wear in NY is fine here, as long as you bring it. Attractions? Not sure what you mean. All the waterparks are closing this time of year. The scenery is nice, and it changes as you go from coast to mountains. The weather is starting to cool off, we have had nights down in the 30s, with mornings in the 50s. Daytime highs can still be anywhere between 60 and 85.
Enjoy your trip.
The last 2 times I went to NY, I spent most of the time in the rain.

Hi Sassy,
The days have been running anywhere from 62 up to the lower 80s...and I imagine that most if not all your riding is going to be in the day light hours...I would definitely bring some rain gear though...it's been real dry up here lately and we're due for some good rains..bring your normal NY riding apparel...there really isn't that much difference in climate.
sweatshirt, leather coat, maybe chaps, a pair of gloves, etc. etc. etc....I suppose it's all going to depend on what will fit on his scooter...lol.
there is a lot of real nice riding up here...you can pick up the seacoast in Hampton Beach area and ride it all the up to Maine...or get over into the white mountain area and run around the mountains...don't forget to do the Kangamangus hiway run..(nice)...good photo ops there too....maybe even Mount Washington....New Hampshire is actually pretty easy to find your way around..but I would recommend buying a map of the state...try to stay off the the main roads while cruising around....most of the secondary roads are a lot more fun (curvy) and will get you where you wanna go...I can't guarantee you that the foliage is going great this year...it's been way too dry...but it should be OK if we get some real cool weather....I recommend getting on line and checking with the chamber of commerce for more attractions...there's tons of things to do up here...ya just gotta know where they are.
Have a great trip and enjoy.

It gets very cold at night once the sun goes down. You definitely want a jacket and gloves if you plan on riding around at night. Also bringing a sweatshirt to wear under if you are cold and you can take it off if you are warm. A trip up into the White Mountains on a motorcycle is a nice ride. But it is even colder up there. Unfortunately you just missed bike week.

When riding wear jeans and a Tank top DO NOT wear open toe shoes. Wear a Motorcycle Jacket if you have one if not then a leather jacket will be fine.

warmly...and please consider a helmet...I live in PA and they lifted the helmet law...went to the store yesterday and the intersection was at a standstill...a guy laying in the middle of the road, bike bent all to heck, surrounded by people and cars and had a major head injury and, you guessed it-no helmet

Hi Sassy,
The nights are getting cool this time of year so do bring enough warm clothing. However, for those warm afternoons motoring about town and beaches 1. on top- leather vest (only) 2. bottom- low waist jeans with frayed rip accross lower *** cheek and high waisted thong underwear. 3. feet- high heeled black leather.

Leather pants, jacket and a helmet. That will be a totally uncomfortable ride. It would be better if you had your own bike. Being a passenger is one of those are-you-nuts-moments.
Its up to you. Cant you just travel by air or train where you will be comfy?
