My Honda ST1100 was previously used by some road maintenance operator or something. I've managed to remove the flashing lights and things but I still need to make it into a two seater. I'm having a problem finding the right part though. Any help?

Is it the gas tank? The air filter cover? The frame? There are so many motorcycles that look like a Harley. Some even better and cheaper. For example, Independence makes a beautiful bike that uses mostly the same parts. Custom bike builders use the same parts. But what part makes the bike a Harley?

if veteran riders speak this highly of the "ninjette", why do beginning riders pas it over, not even considering it for a first bike?

I am a new rider and I ride a little scooter to school and back everyday. If someone waves at me I always wave back, but I would like to be able to initiate a wave sometimes. Are there rules or guidelines about waving? What is a safe way to wave without throwing your balance off?

i have a 2 stroke engine stand up gas scooter and its kinda loud so i was looking to where i can get a silencer for it, i searched all over the web?

I know It probably wouldn't be loud unless I took the baffles(sp?) out. And yeah I know since it's a 650 it wouldn't be as loud as an 1100, but don't forget, it's not a single valve engine. I know that doesn't make it loud. Actually, I was kind of wondering if anyone here might have done something similar before...

Oh, also wanted to add, I don't want a super loud sound, but I like the midrange sound, a bit of growl, but that's it.

I'm planning to make the exhaust on my 1981 Honda CB750 into drag pipes. The exhaust pipes I have now are in great shape and would like to use them.

I have a bunch of old, used Hodaka motorcycle parts in my shed. They were left by the previous homeowner. Gas tank in decent shape(no dings, but some pitting), rear wheel, handlebars and some other misc. parts. Should i trash them, sell them or give them away?

Could someone tell me what might be the issue with this bike? It's a 94 Suzuki Katana.The idle jumps up to 4k RPM and sticks. The idle either sticks at 4k or when adjusted will die. I dont know enough about bikes to determine what the true issue is. About how much to fix?

My friend has a very old motorbike it is over 28 years old and very big looking.
When we go out on it.
Why do other bikers nod at him and i say do you know them and he replys "no"

not just where we live either we have been all over the place on it and it is the same.
other bikers nod at him.

so please explain why when they do not even know each other.

Hi I know it sounds weird. Well pilots & truck drivers they use math for driving & other. Example if a rider makes a turn left or right, how much meters or inches to turn the handle bars? Or how close that you can't be close to a car from behind or front?

I have always wanted to learn how to ride one. I know how to ride a 4-wheeler. I don't want to get ride of my car, but to buy a used motorcycle to get me to school and work. EVERYONE is telling me I shouldn't, because they are dangerous and I will wreck. I want to get some other views out there maybe from people who actually own bikes. Is the danger worth it? I figure, I'm 23 year old female, if I want one, what's to stop me?
