This is not a Harley bashing exersize, the subject just came up in a conversation the other day so I am curious. I know that some alloy wheels, hubs and swingarms have been made in Australia for the last twenty years.

Last week I went to grocery store in my car. There was a parked Yamaha R6 in the parking lot. All around it were a bunch of shopping carts for no reason. A parking space is not the place you put your shopping carts, specifically around other people's vehicles (including bikes). I just want to know why people do that? I physically went over there and moved some of the carts out of the way, so when the dude came back to his bike he could get out.

The bike sat for 15 years in my dads garage. I thouroly cleaned the carbs and changed the plugs. the bike runs excellent until you get up arond 4500 rpm. When it starts acting up, it still acellerates, but its just real jerky (like runnig out of gas)?? I was told there must still be dirt in the fuel system. Any help on how to get it all out or other suggestions would be appreciated.

Is it true that Harley's are so hard to maintain becuase they vibrate so much when you ride them that a lot of nuts and bolts come loose? I am thinking of buying a Bike and I Love, Love, Love the Harley's but unfortunatly I don't have enough time to maintain a High Maintanience bike (I'm already restoring my Truck)

We're thinking of buying an after market seat - and would like to know if a gel seat is a good option. It's expensive and we want to make sure it's a good purchase. Thanks!

Just bought a 2000 883 and it was in the rain yesterday. I drove it to the garage. This morning I tried to start it and no go. Initially the head light was on but when I hit the start button, I got a click/clunk (like a stuck starter motor). The headlight went off and the rest of the bike is dead. At the 30 amp breaker, if I remove the 4 fuses, I have 12 volts. Insterting any fuse and I lose the 12v, remove it and I get the 12V back. Any ideas would be great. Oh, it seems if I wait awhile I get the headlight back but the same deal repeats.

I dropped the termination end inside the clutch lever. My clutch is now dangling, and I need a quick fix to get it to the shop, or a permanent fix. What can I use to jamb the clutch cable to the lever?

brands that provide decent protection would be perfect. How well will this equipment protect a rider in case of a crash or accident? So far I am considering boots, a helmet, pants and a jacket, but I don't know whether to go with or get something that is more like armor. Thank you very much for looking.

I am planning to purchase a 1992 Suzuki GSX-R 600, the guy that is selling it said the electric starter does not work.

What is the difference between a kick start and electric start?

How much does a replacement usually cost?

Is installation difficult and expensive?

Is this a big problem?

I would appreciate advice and good info.

Thanx
