cubic centimeters.

It is indeed the displacement of the motor in cubic centimeters. For one-cylinder motors, it is the difference of gas volume inside the cylinder when the pistion is all the way up, and when it is all the way down.
For multiple (2-, 4- 6-) cylinder motors, the displacement of each cylinder is 1/2, 1/4, 1/6th of the total cc of the motor.
Often car types also have a cc denomination, but then the liter version of it - one thousandth for instance a "Mazda 2.4" has an engine with a displacement of 2400 cc, if that's a four cylinder it's 600 cc per cylinder, and if it's a six cylinder it's 400 cc per cylinder. Ever been behind those smelly Jeeps that say "4 litre" ? - that's a 4000 cc engine producing more than a gallon (3.78 liters) of stink.

Since no one so far has fully explained (IMO) how cc's are determined I thought I'd take a shot. CC's are a measurement of an engines cubic centimeter displacement but please be fully aware of the "cubic" part. That denotes a 3D measurement. Meaning, you can have a small piston with a long stroke (like a small syringe with a long barrel) or a large piston with a small stroke (large syringe pulled only a small way back) which will have the same CC displacement. That means they can hold the same amount of fuel/air mix at the bottom of their stroke. The displacement determines the amount of power per revolution (or pop) but beware because based on the stroke length, many bikes with smaller displacement can produce more power due to their ability to cycle faster. ie. a 600cc cylinder can produce more power than a 1100cc cylinder at twice the RPM (600 X 2 = 1200). Therefore, max RPM is as much a factor as CC displacement in determining how much "power" a given engine is capable of producing.

Cubic Centimeters. 200 cc being a small engine and a 1300 being a fairly large engine. Pops

It stands for cubic centimeters and it has to do with the size of the engine. The higher the ccs, the larger and more powerful the engine.

The same measurement goes for cars.

cc's cubic centimeters. EZ translation is the size and the horse power (hp) of the engine. 200 is a smaller bike good size to start out on. 1300 is a big bike, goes faster needs a more experienced rider to handle it effectively.

its the displacement of the motor. its like a car engine but insead of ci(cubic inches) is centimeters. like a chevy 350 is 350 cubic inches in displacment. say a 1300 cc equals 1.3 liters as well. thats why they call 1000 cc liter bikes.

Cubic centimeters... as like cars where you see C.I.D. Cubic Inch Displacement

In any term, it's "CUBIC CENTIMETER", designating the engine displacement in a standard used everywhere but the USA, where we use "ci", or "CUBIC INCHES".
