Last week I went to grocery store in my car. There was a parked Yamaha R6 in the parking lot. All around it were a bunch of shopping carts for no reason. A parking space is not the place you put your shopping carts, specifically around other people's vehicles (including bikes). I just want to know why people do that? I physically went over there and moved some of the carts out of the way, so when the dude came back to his bike he could get out.

The carts were all around the bike. Looked like someone did that on purpose.

Nice of you to care! I feel that the general public has no respect for bikers anymore. They tailgate us, cut infront of us when they pass and generally would like to see all of us disapear from the roadway. We need to win back our old respect by helping all motorists with an offer to make a phone call, or help, etc. When you do something nice for a stranger, it makes you feel good for days!

Laziness, pure and simple. I've found that things are better if the store makes numerous cart returns available, but you still find some lazy bum who can't walk two feet....

By the way, you've just earned yourself some major good karma!

it could have been the rider trying to keep people away from his ride. Could also have been friends playing a harmless joke on him. I've never had anybody do that around one of my bikes.

As a former courtesy clerk (cart pusher) I can say that the reason people do this is because they are completely lazy and inconsiderate.

Did it cross your mind that maybe the Owner of the bike did it, so that nobody parked next to his ride to scratch it? I know my Hubby would do that and it is a car, (he used to do it for his bike when he owned one)

Ignorance, apathy, and laziness.

That drives me nuts.

The least I can do is link to a funny video about it.
