All of a sudden I have no clutch on my 85 Honda Magna v45. I bled the lines and still nothing. I want to know how to fix this problem my self without paying the blood suckers that want to charge 55.00 an hour, they said I must have a leak someplace. I cannot afford that price.

I know there are many cool bikes out there that give a different level of performance than Harleys. And like Harleys, some have there own culture, style and following. If you didn't want a Harley motorcycle, what would you get and why?

I own an 83 Honda Magna V45, which I recently purchased. After further inspection, I've realized that the tank inside has started to rust. maybe 20-40% covered. I have heard that cleaning the tank with an acidic mixture and then creaming it to coat it is what I need to do. I have also heard that the cream starts to deteriorate as well causing junk in the carbs, and that just the straight mixture + power washing the inside is better. I don't know what to do?

Purchasing a new tank is out of the question.

My wife has a 50cc Habana, she was travelling home the other day when it broke down, she wasn't able to start it again at the time as the Battery seemingly died, we have charged the battery and replaced the Spark Plugs and its now starting (with the electric starter) but you can't kickstart it, when it starts it runs a lot slower than normal even with the accelorator fully turned and occasionally it will get to normal speed but often stalls, any ideas what is causing this as we can't really afford to take it to the mechanics so i want to try and do the work myself, i am going to check the air filter tonight and am presuming it might be the Carburetor but if anyone can verify this and advise i'd be grateful. Thanks Jan

With my new rearsets, after I use the rear brake is doesn't return to the topmost position. It only comes back up 5/6s of the way. Is this normal? I'm worried the rear brake is dragging, even though it doesn't feel like it is.

Is threadlocker a must have for rearsets? Or is it ok to just tighten the bolts solidly? I've heard many stories about people losing shifter/brake levers.

Also, when I put the rearsets on the there was nowhere to hook up the cable that activates the brake light for the rear brake. Is it worth it to take the cable off or should i just zip tie it somewhere for now? and where is a good place to zip tie it?

heres what happens when i hit the gas...

theres a hesitation to go. to accelerate. sometimes when the light turns green Ill let let the clutch out and it will chug....so I have to brining the clutch back in and wait for the revs to climb. Has almost got me rear-ended not to mention makes me look like an idiot. I cant tell if it's feels like a fuel flow problem or something vacuum related. The problem seems to get better as the bike warms up but never completely goes away.

Thoughts?

I ride a 99 Suzuki GS500E

I had the battery, stater, regulator, and wiring harness replaced. SUPRISE,...the battery is still not charging. Have I (or my mechanic) missed something?

...and whilst nicely banked-over on a right hander....

...a Baby Blade etc [CBR/VFR400] rips past on your inside, holding a tight line - his left hand indicating a reverse-facing middle finger.....

Do you...

1. Cog, cog, whaaa! And 'put the world back to rights'....[thinking - the cheeky barsteward!]

2. Swallow the insult.

Personally, I'd 'ride the edges of my rims' to correct this one!

I have a Yamaha 125cc Vino Scooter. I just brought it in for the 600 mile service check and they soaked me almost 200 dollars. They say they did a oil change, changed the filter, did some adjusting and lube. My question is each year should I change the oil and filter myself or should I bring it in for the full check up ?

I don't want to register it and pay all the associated fees. How often do cops stop owners of scooters if they aren't taking them very far/fast?

I have been having an electrical problem. Bike won't start up because it is getting drained after riding for a few hours. It will jump start right up, then off to the dealer I go. Dealer keeps saying it is a loose ground. They won't show me where the problem is as they say i will void the warranty if I screw up the electonics by trying to fix myself. It is getting really frustrating, ruining my rides and only adding to the coffers of the dealer. Has anyone else had this problem or is there a Tech out there who may know? It does not appear to be the battery cables as they are making contact.

Im going to re-paint the bodywork of a bike and wanted to know the best way to get a nice shiny finish on the plastic fenders, (its a modern trials bike kind of think). What kind of methods can i use that are efective, long-lasting and reasonably priced?

Thanks.

Does anyone have any experience with say Moto Man's way of breaking in a motorcycle vs. the way it says in the manual. My dealer also told me to follow the advice in the manual, whos right and whos wrong because these two ways of doing it are VERY different.
