Manufacturer A produces a 4.6 litre V-8, rated 300hp/.320lb/ft . Manufacturer B produces a 4.2 litre V-8 rated 417hp/317lb/ft. How does manufacturer B do this?

Hi My 2001 Camry stopped picking u speed from a standstill, and also blows out a lot of smoke when initialy started. MANY PEOPLE HAVE TOLD ME THAT IT IS DUE TO ENGINE SLUDGE IN THE ENGINE!!!

NOW MY QUESTION:

HOW DOES ONE EITER REMOVE OR CLEAN ENGINE SLUDGE???

I am looking for Blue leather for the front and the rear seats for my 66 Continental. My leather seats are ripping and I want to replace them. A local shop in DC told me $2000!!! Already bought a Rebuilt Engine kit and pricing a good paint job so I am gonna try to save me a couple $$.

I also am looking for a replacement dash for my car. It is cracked in the middle (like most old Lincolns) and needs to be replaced or fixed somehow

Please let me know if there is any websites out there that have the leather material for the seats and/or the replacement dash. Thanks

Hello. My '98 (w/ 88,000 miles) makes a strange clicking sound. The noise occurrs slightly when I first start it up. When I accelerate, it is much louder. The noise will stop when I hit about 30 mph. It will also stop after I have driven the car for about 5 minutes. Any ideas? And how much to fix?

while at the city pool i went scuba diving and found a shark in the pool, i slayed the shark and saved many innocent lives (it was an aggressive bull shark in the heat of mating season) yet the city only rewarded me with a measley sum of $250.00, i want to know what i should do to get revenge for the miniscule reward?

Twice now I've been driving my car, and all of a sudden it will just shut off. When I try to restart it again it makes noises like it is out of gas, but it has a full tank.
The first time I put gas into it, and it started right up.
Second time after putting gas into it, it didn't start, but my dad got it to start somehow but it was running really rough.

My book says it could be a defective choke, if it is how much do those cost to replace and how hard would it be for me to fix it?

Could it be anything other than a defective choke?

My car overheated on the highway a week ago, it has yet to start. When i turn the key,it acts like it wants to start ( it does make noise like its going to start,but doesnt) Also, the check engiene light comes on, only when i drive over 55mph on the highway.I went to autozone,they gave me a tool to hookup so i can test the engine and get a code to find out what the problem is. If you can help, i'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks.

I drive a 2001 kia sportage. I was leaving my house & coming up to a stop sign when my car just died. I tried to start it (thinking it was just a small issue) and it wouldn't start. Now it's turning over, but, still won't start. I had someone come look @ it and he says he thinks it the timing belt. Someone else told me your timing belt won't just go out like that w/out the car acting up previously (which it didn't). Coincidentally I just got my oil changed a couple hours before this happened. I don't know if maybe they knocked something loose..or it may not have anything to do w/ the oil change. I don't know!! Help please!! Thank You.

Ive done it twice now and each time the wire for power has burned. I took the two wires from the fan to a 35 amp switch and from the switch i took one wire to the battery and a seperate wire was for ground. It works fine when driving during the day, but at night that is when it happens. The wire burns up all the insulation was burned off. I did this because the fans did not turn on on their own, the fuse is good and the relay is good too. How could i do this the right way, I did not bypass any thing either for power. I THOUGHT MAYBE IT HAS SOMETHING TO DO WITH THE HEADLIGHTS BECAUSE THAT IS THE ONLY TIME MY WIRES BURNED DURING THE DAY IT WAS FINE.

I replaced all brake pads and found my back left calliper seized so i took it to the shop and $400 later it was freed up. however only one brake bleeds properly the rest are somehow blocked. to top it off it no longer gos into gear. when its in gear the clutch works fine (its also new). getting it into gear is the hard bit like hitting a brick wall. its now parked up on a driveway in reverse because the handbrake wont hold it. the shop said it may be the master cylinder or the abs. any help would be great.

My brother put a speaker bok in my 95 town car I think that on of the screws he used to secure the speakerbox may have punctured the gas tank, since I now smell gas in the car, I there a simple or easy way to patch the holes without having to raplce the whole tank.

It is a 2000 Jeep Cherokee 4x4 auto. It shifts just fine and I am not losing much fluid just enough to make a mess and make my wife mad. Engine does not get any warmer than 210F and fluid is not over filled.

It usually idles at around 700 rpms but now it is up in the 1300 range and seems to go up the longer i'm in it. and when in park after i've driven it, idles even higher.

Have tried every thing new switch new filter. Took wires off the light does not come on when you switch ignition on but will come on when you rev it. Is there another switch some where that I havn't found. Engine oil pressure good so its not worn bearings.
I am a ex mechanic so I do know about engines but this one is baffling me. Can any one help
