It's a Lancia Dedra and I can't turn the key? It was fine yesterday but now the only lock that opens and closes is the boot lock. Central locking is inoperative too, but that shouldn't stop me turning the key should it?

Any ideas?

I did a DTC test on it and its a code 41.Check engine light is always on. From what I know this Car has a GM 3.3L v6 but there is no Camshaft position sensor.. I know the 3800 engines are known to lose their cam magnet. But Does this Engine have a Camshaft position sensor on it with the Magnet on the Cam Sproket?
All I know it was very hard to start and I know it does have Crankshaft position Sensor.

a couple of times I even had to wiggle the wire to get it to start. I ended up replacing the battery because my car would not start at all, but when I replaced it with a new one the light still flashed. Could it be my alternator???

I'm cleaning out a closet and came across two 12 oz. cans of gas line anti-freeze that could be 20-40 years old. Cans look brand new.

Treat as hazardous waste, or put into my trucks fuel tank?

Thanks.

When we turn on the water we have good pressure for about 10 seconds then it slowly loses flow and pressure almost down to nothing. We checked all the valves and they were turned on.

We think this might be an inline filter that has clogged. Is this possible?

(Copy and paste into address bar if link doesn't work)

The valve in the picture is leaking too.

What other explanations could there be?

So my AC compressor explodedin me leaving me with no AC. I'm sure I'm not the only one this has happened to so I pose this quandry...
aside from the obvious 'roll down your window, turn on the vent, fix your AC,' ect.. what do you do to keep cool?

I just rented a rug doctor, wich worked wonders for a friend of mine, but isn't impressing me too much... my high trafic areas still look terrible and the directions say not to go over the same spot twice unless I let it dry first. I used the pretreatment spray and the cleaning solution... and it still isn't working with just two passes. Is there anything I can do??

I own a 2003 Maxima which currently has 47,000 miles on it. In the 4 years that I've had it, I've averaged about 7,000 per year. However, I just got a new job and will now be increasing that average to about 30,000 per year. I am strongly considering switching to synthetic oil. So my questions are:

1) How will the switch affect my car considering the amount of miles it has on it?
2) Realistically, given my driving distance, how often could and should I change it?
3) Are there any other maintenance aspects required for using synthetic oil, besides those required for regular oil?

If there's any other advice or useful info you guys could lend, I'd appreciate it. Thanks!

I recently bought a 2003 Toyota Corolla and I am planning to tune it up, one by putting on a catback exhaust. If anyone of you can tell me how to remove the full exhaust and/how to put on a new one would be great. Any links to other websites would be great to. Thanks

I plugged a vibrating back massager into a Tundra (17k miles) and the following happened: vibrated strangely, pulled it out. Clock went out at sme point but came back on. Immediate rough idle and rough drive. Cigarette lighter only heats up to lukewarm. Nav system sporadically acting wacky and screen getting hot. Auto dim on Nav stopped working. Radio soon after has lost it's "power", no more rich, booming sound...have to turn it way up and it sounds weak. All fuses inside & under hood checked twice & were fine. No codes present. I have stopped driving it as some of these things were progressive, such as the Nav system acting oddly. Note: the back massager is completely dead...a short I would presume. I really need help with this. Any ideas would be appreciated

My car is a 2003 Eclipse and has a serious vibration at 50mph and higher. The vibration is very noticable in the steering wheel but can be felt anywhere in the car. I thought I had a tire out of balance but that didn't help. I had the tires road forced balanced and that only helped slightly. A dealership said that I had bent rims and replacing them would fix it. Nope, I did that and it didn't help at all. I was then told my feul injectors may be clogged and I am running cleaner through them now but no results yet. What do you think it could be? The suspension, struts, bearings, tie rods, motor mounts, mis-firing cylinders? Any feedback would be greatly appriciated. Thanks

Or should I have Raul shift into park.

I want the car to stop, but I am concerned if the air bags will deploy. I don't want to have to replace them.

I got some coolant in my engine when my throttle body gasket got a leak, maybe two or three cups got in. It blew white smoke, so I changed the oil. After driving it a little and letting it Idle the smoke stopped but there is a horrible mis-fire. There is also a loud high pithc squealing noise. Did I damage a spark plug, or bend a rod? Not sure what to think.

Last time I had my oil changed they told me that i needed both services but I declined and decided to research it. I now see that there are drains and flushes, some say that a flush is neccesary, some say that they have practically the same effect and others say not to flush just to drain. Does anyone know what the truth is, in particular for my car? Thanks!
