I have a 99 Honda Civic. Two oil changes ago my car was fine. Less than 2 weeks after that oil change my oil light turned on, took it the place where I got the oil change and they topped it off. At least 3 more times I had to put oil in it. Two weeks ago I got another scheduled oil changed and now my light is on again. It's not leaking because I don't see it. What could be the cause?

I have some oil sealed in their containers that I found in my storage. They've been sitting for two-three years, but don't know if they're still good.

I guess I'm worried about condensation in them. I know if they haven't been heated or contaminated, they're suppose to be still good. (Yes, they're sealed in their container) But what about condensation? My little storage unit isn't air conditioned, so it gets really cold in winter and hot in summer.

I'm worried about water condensation being inside the sealed container and using them on my motorcycle.

Please state your facts, not opinions. And if you have the source also, that would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

I use microfiber cloths, genuine wool wash mitt, chamois to dry, i got claybars, and a bunch of Meguiars products. I got stuff to shine up the tires.

It would be cool if you named the brands and stuff.

What works best, what are something you'd recommend that was really great for your car?

also if you could answer this question:

How do you clean your wool wash mitt? it's real wool.

Do you just hand wash it with warm water and maybe some soap, or washine wash it?

I have a 1991 Nissan Stanza. Recently something fell off the bottom of the car. I believe it is a cover protecting the catalytic converter. is there a reason why it would be bad to not have a new cover put back on?

Due to excessive noise from my car's fan, I checked the coolant level. It was very low on water / anti-freeze. I poured in 3 and a half litres (approx 7.5 pints) of water and anti-freeze. 15 miles later it was all gone.
The car is now in my driveway. Two days ago I refilled the radiator and the water is still there. So the coolant is lost when the car is moving.
What do you think is the cause of this? Is it a hose? Is it easy to fix?

Ok heres the prob.
We noticed the car was sounding loud and a guy that my bf works with said it's the alternator.
So we got a new alternator and my bf and his friend (who knows alot about cars) changed it.
Drove a bit, and then the battery light came on.
Ok, the guy said it was a bad alternator (which it was because it turned out to be one that someone messed with and brought back) Ok..so we exchanged it and they changed it again.
The noise went away and car sounds perfect. And no battery light on the dash! woo hoo
The car ran good for a week and a half and what happens today?? Battery light came back on!!
What can be wrong? Alternator again? Or is something not hooked up right?
I am like almost broke and can't bring it to Canadian tire and pay $88/hr for them to tell me wuts wrong. If someone can give me some ideas on whats wrong, i would REALLY appreciate it!! :)

It sounds like a flat tire...That rapid "dubdubdub" sound. I don't have a flat tire. Is it possible that one of my wheels was tightened too tight? I have no idea what it could be, but I'm very nervous about driving with that sound. Any ideas or suggestions?

2000 toyota Camry. The driver's side floorboard feels wet. the substance seems to be a bit oily, thin. When you clean it with a cloth the liquid is tinted a red color. THis is the only seat it is happenning in, not the passenger side. Car is running fine.

Why is that? Is like an old musty smell when I first crank the car with the AC on and then it dissapears after a while. What can be done for this minor issue? It happened to one of my other vehicles a long time ago, but I cannot remember what they did to alleviate the smell.

I need to purchase a brake hose for my car, and when I got there they needed to know if it was a sport suspension or soft ride and I have no idea how to find that out. There are no brakes on it so I cannot drive it anywhere.
I also need to know if it is an inner or outer hose that I need and I dont know how to find that out either.

I have a car that has extended warranty, unfortunately my car is not at the dealer at this time. Its at a different shop, as I am out of town and my folks have the car. It needs work done, can that be covered under warranty, or do I have to go to the dealer in order to receive warranty service. Or can I show the bill to the dealer and be reimbursed?

Also, can I ask them to replace the vehicle with something comparable? I owed 2700 - they valued it at 4300, less $1k deductible and minus their "wear" items, is only going to leave me with $900. Sadly the car ran great before the accident and I'd only spent $60 in repairs over the life of the car. This sucks.

I have a 1932 Ford street rod with a 1979 Chevy engine with points type ingition. What would make it lose spark while driving. Nothing was wrong while driving, then I "got on it" a little bit, then it shut down. Had to coast to the side of the road. Thought it was out of gas, but it is getting plenty of gas. No spark is coming through to the plug wires when I pulled one of them off to see if it had spark. Help!

I bought a brand new car last year and the dealer told me that I did not have to let the car warm up anymore. However, I am having a hard time with this idea as I have always let my old car run for 10 -15 mins prior to driving it in the winter.

Are people still warming up the car before driving it? I notice that when I go home at the end of the day people just jump in and drive right away. I sit there giving my car five minutes before leaving (winter only).
