I use microfiber cloths, genuine wool wash mitt, chamois to dry, i got claybars, and a bunch of Meguiars products. I got stuff to shine up the tires.

It would be cool if you named the brands and stuff.

What works best, what are something you'd recommend that was really great for your car?

also if you could answer this question:

How do you clean your wool wash mitt? it's real wool.

Do you just hand wash it with warm water and maybe some soap, or washine wash it?

I don't use wool mitt just a good fleesy synetic one will do ok. I wash Mitts towels in the washing machine. Wool use woolite and hang up to drip dry. I have three different wash mitts I buy one each year new one is for the top of the car last years for the sides 3 year old for fender wells and wheels. I do not use chamious cloth or skins any more I use the "california water blade " and finish up with a turkish towel. Quick detailer and clay to remove finish high spots and impurities. Other wise Mequires Carnuba wax and Tire shine. If you can find blue color wax it really works good on white cars to make them look whiter. Black cars only use yellow color wax or clear waxes. I tired turtle wax Ice and was not impressed seemed like smearing oil onto my paint but for " joe wax my car after it gets dull " it might work ok. I win my class at lots of car shows. Detailing a car takes me about two weekends working 3 to 4 hours. There is almost no where you can't scrub with a tooth brush.

As for the inside cleaning of a vehicle castle products are the best..You will not find it on any shelf but you may find it at some detail shops and they may sell you a gallon.I have used it for 11 years and havent found anything close. As for wax use mothers wax.Not the liquid the paste in a can.Spray wax is only good for in between waxes.Another thing you always hear about your waxes that are supposed to last a year or longer dont beleive it.If your the type that takes good care of your car and washs it once a week or so your going to need a wax 2 or three times a year to keep a good shine.Use armor all for your dressing and door rubbers. It holds up well.

We're supposed to CLEAN our cars? I keep my motorcycle VERY clean. I don't spend a whole lot of time on my 1993 Plymouth Voyager van with 209,000 miles on it. The paint is peeling (as does on that year Chrysler cars), the over head fabric is loose (I bought some 'pigtail' pins to hold it up), the radio died, a/c costs more than the car is worth to repair, I don't have to pay any personal property tax on it, but it runs so quiet I thought it quit on me at an intersection and tried to start it, she gets rubber when I put the pedal to the metal, and my dog loves riding in it (took out the middle seat).
Now, I DO keep my wife's van clean inside and out.

Well any extremes are bad. Probably on balance extreme heat is worse, certainly for the longevity of items in storage. Many things will be fine in the cold, but should be protected from frost.

My cars are getting older and the headlights have gotten this yellowish haze from weather, sunlight, whatever.
I got Mothers Power Plastic, and used it with an orbital buffer. It took out the haze and brightened the headlights considerably.
