You must use pull the cotter key out and pick the proper 1/2 socket to fit the lower end of the ball joint using a 16' wratchet handle. They aren't that tight. If your ball joints are rivited on the A rms grind the of the heads off yith a 4" right angle grinder and punch the rivits out. You will need a pickle fork or a pitman press to pop the ball joint loose from the spindle. You can rent these tools free with a credit card from Auto Zone.

I hope you've already compressed and removed the spring. If not, that spring is going to pop out and take your head off when that ball joint lets go. Without spring pressure on it the top bolt should slide right out. If it's a matter of the thing being rusted in then you might need an air hammer to drive it out.

Its very easy, I had the same car and the joint broke one day and i had to repair it. Take the tire of , you will see it clearly I believe there's a bolt that you take of and that should release the grip around the ball joint, next you are going to screw the arm out of place and it should come right of. The most important thing is that when you are screwing it of to count the number of rotations it took to come of so when you install the new one you screw it back with the same number of rotations or else you alignment will be way of.

Clean it off good and make sure there's not a cotter key in there. Saturate with wd-40 and when you do get it loose, only about one turn, smack it hard with a big hammer to break loose from kingpin.
